JUSTin HOPE Foundation helps people affected by autism

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - December 4:

The JUSTin HOPE Foundation provides services and support for local families touched by autism and other neurological disorders.

The foundation holds training for police, fire and medical personnel so they are better equipped to deal with those special needs.

Aside from giving monetary donations, you have an opportunity to help come spring, with JUSTin HOPE's largest fundraiser called "Spring Forward for Autism," according to Executive Director Carol Reitz.

"We have our annual run-walk, which we host every year at UNR. Next year it will take place on April 29th. They can certainly register. Or if they'd like to make a donation they can certainly do that as well for a raffle prize or silent auction."

JUSTin HOPE is also working toward opening a "Resources, Respite and Recreation" center for local families.
