Get to know Sydnee!
Sydnee was that 5-year-old girl, standing in the bathroom mirror, holding a hairbrush, reporting the news. She has been in love with television news ever since she can remember. Her dreams of reporting led her to the “Biggest Little City” in May of 2016 to begin her career as a video journalist for KOLO 8 News Now.
Sydnee was born and raised in Spokane, WA. She attended Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication in May of 2016. Though she is excited to escape the heat, she will always be a proud Sun Devil.
During her college career, she interned with KHQ-TV in Spokane, Teach For America in Memphis and KTAR in Phoenix. She was also a reporter and anchor for Arizona PBS during her last semester of college. With each new opportunity, she finds herself more passionate about working broadcast news.
When she is not checking Twitter or grabbing coffee, you can find her skiing, exploring new hiking trails, curling up with a good book or most importantly, spending time with her friends and family. She is a member of Reno-Tahoe Young Professionals Network and is excited to get more involved in the community.
