Put on your winter coat and boots to join us on the Presidents' holiday weekend. Reno's icy weather is perfect for viewing the lynx, bobcats, cougars, wolves, foxes, and other wild residents at the Animal Ark. Our winter wonderland is at 6,000 feet of altitude so dress for outdoor fun in winter conditions. We encourage you to call prior to departing for our facility - we will update our recording to reflect any changes in weather or facility conditions. 1 775 970 3111 (yes you need to dial the + 1 775 even if dialing from Reno or Sparks). $13 adults, $12 seniors, $10 children.

The Wilbur D. May Museum is unmasking its latest interactive exhibition: Hall of Heroes. This exciting exhibition celebrates and explores the history and science behind some of pop culture’s favorite superheroes. See movie props, costumes, and memorabilia, and then put your own skills to the test to discover your superpowers. Hall of Heroes features dozens of interactive stations designed to test powers of the body, elements, mind, and more. Visitors of all ages will love this exhibit that combines science and science –fiction. Hall of Heroes also includes:
• 1966 George Barris Batmobile & Interactive Batcave
• Unique photo ops with life size characters
• TARDIS from Doctor Who
• Dioramas covering comic books to movies

Reno Chamber Orchestra with Clive Greensmith (Cello)

Cellist Clive Greensmith, former cellist of the legendary Tokyo String Quartet and a longtime Nevada Chamber Music Festival favorite, makes his first Reno Chamber Orchestra appearance. He is featured in the Rococo Variations by Tchaikovsky, the lovely “Minstrel’s Song” by Alexander Glazunov, and Lukas Foss’s Capriccio (which was given its world premiere by Yo-Yo Ma, with Theodore Kuchar conducting!) Also on the program are works by Mozart and Bizet.
