Our Winter Math Camps is students in grades 5-8 and supports our mission of helping students find their joy of math through fun, social, team based math competitions. This camp will focus heavily on contest and problem solving strategies.
This is great preparation for our MathRocks! contest series and for MathCounts. Campers will work lots of problems and work in smaller groups to cover areas of weakness. Strategies for Sprint, Target, Team, & Number Sense rounds will be discussed and practiced; Countdown practice will be given to all students. Additionally, we will have time each morning and afternoon to get up and run around (chaos tag is a camp favorite). Logic puzzles and strategy games are also on the menu for the week.
Camp runs Mon-Fri, from 9am until 4:30pm
Students need to bring their lunch, pencils, and a bottle of water each day.
Each camper will receive a 2018 Winter Break Math Camp t-shirt!
Please email questions to email@example.com or post them to www.Facebook.com/NNVMath if you would like feedback about our camps from other parents.
