(Reno, Nev.) – Volunteers of America is seeking the support of the Reno community to ensure the residents of its shelters for families, women and men can share in the hopeful anticipation of the Christmas holiday.

Individuals and organizations are invited to adopt the holiday wishes of children staying in the Volunteers of America Family Shelter, as well as donate sets of new hats, scarves, gloves and socks as gifts to parents at the Family Shelter, as well as to the single men and women in residence at Volunteers of America’s men’s and women’s shelters.

Volunteers of America asks that all gifts be gift wrapped and tagged before being dropped off at Volunteers of America’s Women’s Shelter office at the Community Assistance Center (315 Record St., Reno, Nev.) by Dec. 19.

Financial donations also are welcome, and may be made online at www.volunteersofamerica-nv.org, or by calling (775) 322-7143. For more information, contact Development & Community Relations Officer Sandy Isham at (775) 322-7143, or sisham@voa-nv.org.
