People First Foundation has an annual Soap for Hope Drive, which is a drive that helps homeless, transient and low-income single parents with month’s supplies of laundry supplies such as laundry detergent, bleach and dryer sheets.

Founder and Executive Director of People First Foundation Mr. Courtney Bell has a heart of the homeless, transient and low-income children, families, and single parent families, because he himself, three siblings and single parent mother were homeless for roughly five years.

At this time Bell’s People First Foundation is giving back to homeless, transient and low-income single parents throughout Washoe County by making sure 100’s of children and 100’s of homeless and transient families have a month’s supplies of laundry detergent, bleach and dryer sheets.

We are looking for motivated and inspired volunteers to help organize the laundry supplies, and join us in giving these children and families the laundry supplies directly, also to give these people a hug and or kind gesture that shows that we care about each other because we do.

At this time there are onetime homeowners, business owners and fulltime salary working employees who are currently half way down and half way out living in motels, however, they have not given up, are continuing to seek employment opportunity and have all mentioned this tangible effort of laundry supplies will go a long way.

For the reason that this is one less thing they have to worry about, not only that, this community buy in effort will takeaway the burden and decision of choosing food over laundry supplies, because this month they can have booth people of me like you who care about our fellow neighbors. People can also help by donating laundry supplies year around, call People First Foundation and they will gladly arrange to pick it up. Also people can contribute to this Soap for Hope effort and the effort of helping people who want to help themselves by sending in a financial contribution to People First Foundation P.O. BOX 162 RENO NV 89504.

This effort will be a feel good moment for the entire community.

The Soap for Hope Drive will happen Saturday October 1st 10:00am. All volunteers meet at1110 Evans Ave Reno NV 89512.
