CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Nevada Volunteers is asking residents
to join their governor by pledging to serve as the 10th anniversary
of the Sept. 11 attacks nears.

The statewide volunteering commission says their campaign aims
to capture the attitude of service and outpouring of donations that
followed the terrorist attacks.

Officials say Gov. Brian Sandoval will be signing his own
community service pledge before the anniversary.

Nevadans can find the pledge on the Nevada Volunteers website at

The site also features a Volunteer Match system that links
residents with nearby service opportunities.
