RENO, NV - A new Boys and Girls Club facility opened in Reno Tuesday.

The 55-thousand-square-foot William N. Pennington facility has been built on the site of the old YMCA on Foster Drive, across from Reno High.

The goal is to serve three- or four-thousands kids each year, kids who are in need of various services.

That would be an increase of about 25% over the number of children who are currently members.

The new facility includes separate areas for teens, tweens and younger kids with education rooms, computer labs, recreation rooms and art rooms, plus kitchen, multi-purpose room and a four-court gymnasium, and a large outdoor play area.

Registration is also open for this year's summer camp program.
