RENO, NV - Valentine’s Day is a special day for expressing love for those we cherish.

Historically, the day is celebrated by exchanging written declarations of love. This Valentine’s Day, declare your love for the pet lovers in your life with handcrafted Valentines from Nevada Humane Society.

Beautiful and unique Valentine cards that were handmade by Caughlin Ranch Elementary School Students and the National Charity League Sierra Nevada Class of 2017 will be on display at Nevada Humane Society starting February 8.

The decorated cards feature pictures of adorable orphaned pets from Nevada Humane Society and traditional Valentine decorations. You can select Valentines for the pet lovers in your life for a $5 donation for two Valentines.

The cards have a dedication on the back to let the recipient know that a donation was made to help homeless animals.

If you would like to celebrate the pet lovers in your life with a handmade Valentine, come to the Nevada Humane Society shelter on Longley Lane which is open seven days a week from 11:00 am to 6:30 pm, except Saturdays when they open at 10:00 am.
