RENO, NV - This year Nevada celebrates its 147th birthday, and in honor of the occasion, the Nevada Day Board of Directors is hosting a very special evening with Governor Brian Sandoval, Thursday, Oct. 27th, 2011.
The Inaugural Nevada Day Governor's Banquet will be held at The Grand Sierra Resort inside the Summit Pavilion, on Thursday, Oct. 27th. Governor Brian Sandoval will be in attendance that evening and will join other special guest speakers and dignitaries in honoring our state's 147th birthday. Moreover, we will be recognizing and honoring all those who were involved in two recent Northern Nevada occurrences that have resulted in the loss of precious life and broken families.
100% of the net proceeds from this event will go to the victims and families of the tragedies that occurred at the Carson City IHOP and The Reno Air Races this past summer.
Tickets are $40 per person. Doors open at 6PM. The evening includes; raffle, silent auction, live entertainment, table service dinner, photo op area, special guest appearances and speakers (including Miss Nevada 2011, Alana Lee), and we'll even have a special Nevada birthday cake and cake cutting ceremony! Semi-formal attire is preferred.
All attendees will receive a specially minted Nevada Day commemorative proof coin in custom case!
Silent auction items are needed! So please call or write to make your donation. As Nevada Day, Inc. is a 501 c (3) non-profit organization, all donations are tax deductible. Call 846-1130.
