CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval is announcing a "supply drive" to provide some simple comforts and pleasures to Nevada troops serving in war zones.

Donations will be accepted at the governor's offices in Carson City and Las Vegas through Dec. 2.

Sandoval traveled this summer to visit Nevada troops serving in Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait. He says during his visit, soldiers pined over simple things that are in short supply.

He says troops are especially in need of DVDs, energy bars, razors, instant coffee, Chap Stick and video games. Cards and notes also are welcomed.

Sandoval says he hopes Nevadans will join him in sending Nevada
troops something that will "bring home a little closer" during the holiday season.
