The fundraiser is from 7-10 p.m. at Jimmy G's, 301 N, Carson St., at the corner of Carson and Proctor streets.

One-hundred percent of the proceeds will go to the victims or their families, a silent auction, raffle and a cupcake sale called, "Life is short, Eat a Cupcake," in honor of Miranda McElhiney, a skilled baker.

McElhiney, a sergeant in the Nevada National Guard, was killed along with soldiers Lt. Col. Heath Kelly and Master Sgt. Christian Riege and civilian Florence Donovan-Gunderson when a gunman opened fire at the Carson City restaurant. Before turning the gun on himself, Eduardo Sencion also shot seven others.

To donate an item for the raffle or silent auction, contact Louise or Don Roberts at 775-883-5130 or by email at To bake cupcakes for the sale or for more information contact Degross at
