New Office Spurs Expansion Including the Addition of Veterans Services
Reno, NV - Easter Seals Nevada, the nonprofit serving more than 8,000 Nevadans with disabilities, opens its doors in Reno.
Easter Seals invites the community to see the new office location, 5250 Neil Road, Reno, NV 89502.
"The opening of the Reno office gives us the opportunity to better serve individuals with disabilities in the region," said Brian Patchett, CEO and President of Easter Seals Nevada. "We've been providing early intervention services to children in the Northern Nevada community since 2011, and we're proud to now serve veterans here as well."
With the Reno expansion, Easter Seals Nevada now provides veteran services through assistive technology, job development, family resources, access to community support and other services. By adding veteran programs, Easter Seals Nevada hopes to fill any current gaps in support and provide a continuum of services to veterans in Nevada.
Easter Seals expanded to northern Nevada in November 2011 and has since served 169 individuals through early intervention evaluations and ongoing services. Research has shown that early intervention and individualized service contribute directly to the later success of children and families. With this in mind, Easter Seals Nevada offers a family-centered approach to working with children who have special needs ages birth to three years.
Operating successfully in Nevada since 1950, Easter Seals Nevada advocates for and works with infants, children, youth and adults who are living with disabilities and other challenges. Easter Seals Nevada's mission is to create solutions that help people with disabilities become self-sufficient through education, community partnerships and direct services.
