Dog Companion Needs Lifesaving Liver Surgery

RENO, NV - A Reno woman is hoping the public will help save her mother's best friend.

Her mother is recovering from two major strokes, and can only leave her home for doctors' appointments.

So in steps Duffy, a one-year-old Yorkie/Pug mix, to keep her company.

But Duffy now has a liver problem that floods her body with toxins, making her very sick.

Sierra Veterinary Specialists has agreed to do the lifesaving surgery, but that will cost about $4 thousand. There's an account to help raise the money.
