17-Week-Old Pug Puppy Needs Your Help

DAYTON, NV - A 17-week-old pug puppy needs your help.

He was relinquished by the owners that said he was acting strange.

Dayton Riverside Vet Hospital suggested an ultrasound, for a possible condition called hepatic encephelopathy. Hepatic encephalopathy is a worsening of brain function that occurs when the liver is no longer able to remove toxic substances in the blood.

After the ultrsound, Kukuis Alii Animal Rescue says his prognosis is grim.

'Pugsley' is exibiting symptoms of ammonia toxicity already and he's so young says the shelter caring for this little guy. They need help raising funds for his needed surgery. Because of Pugsley's immediate condtion he will be going in for surgery on Tuesday that can cost as much as $2000.
