The family of a father and husband wrote into KOLO 8 News Now and pleads for help from the community. This is his story:

On Saturday our community was struck by a terrible and untimely death of a young mother/wife. Karli Johnson age 26. Karli was a nurse at ReNown and her husband Will Johnson owns a Landscape company with his mother called Two Crazy Gardners. They got married last summer after dating for 6 years. They were the example of meeting your soul mate. Soon they were expecting a new love in their life Bodie their son. Everything was going to plan until last Thursday.

Thursday morning Karli Johnson had an aortic dissection - doctors felt it was safer to have an emergency c-section to separate Bodie and Karli. Bodie Johnson was born Thursday December 15th. He pulled through like a champ, 5lbs 1 oz 18 in, but Karli had to get through the next 48 hours. She was so brave and courageous through all of this. Saturday the 17th afternoon Karli met her little man and shortly thereafter she went into emergency surgery and passed away. She loved Bodie and Will more than life and fought with all she had.

We are turning to the community for support.

Karli was the back bone to this soon to be family having insurance for both, A schedule that would work with Will's, and a plan for the family. Now all of that is turned around. Will has to find some way to get through this. Lucky for him he has a lot of support.
