With thousands expected to show up on Sunday, October 7th for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, participants are encouraged to pre-register and pick up their t-shirts this week. This year's early pick-up is at a new store location, but in the same shopping center as prior years. The new location is Macy's Reno Furniture Store in Del Monte Plaza, 6011 S. Virginia Street.

Distribution is scheduled for:

12:00 pm - 7:00 pm October 4th and 5th
10:00 am- 4:00 pm October 6th

The race takes place October 7th at IGT headquarters, 9295 Prototype Drive, in Reno. Those who have not pre-registered can register 7:00 am - 8:30 am on race day. The 5K timed run begins at 8:30 am, followed by the 5K fitness walk at 8:40 am and 1 mile fitness walk at 8:45 am.

One of the event highlights is the survivor's ceremony starting at 10:00 am. It's an inspiring commemoration of all breast cancer survivors, whether newly diagnosed or celebrating decades of life after breast cancer. Awards will be presented immediately after the ceremony.
