It's quiet now, but General Motors workers have been on the picket line for two days. They weren't happy with how contract talks were going on issues like health and safety, vacation time and retiree benefits.

The two sides, General Motors and United Auto Workers, say they have worked out their differences, but they are not releasing many details. They will only say that the union will now pick up retiree benefits and workers will be getting bonuses.

The contract still has to be reviewed by the company's 73-thousand rank and file members.

GM's chairman and Chief Executive says there's no question this was one of the most complex and difficult bargaining sessions in the history of GM and the union.

It's certainly good news for the 126 members who work out of the Stead plant, who can now go back to work.
