Well that didn't work! A 39-year-old British woman who was attempting to row across the Pacific had to be rescued last night about a 100 miles off the coast of Fort Bragg after rough waves battered her rowboat into submission.

At about 8:30 p.m. last night, a rescue swimmer was lowered to pluck Savage from the water after she left the troubled boat.

Roz Savage was in her souped-up 24-foot long rowboat named the
Brocade after her corporate sponsor, San Jose-based Brocade
Communications Systems Inc.
