VICTORVILLE, Calif. (AP) - A cable man who was beaten to death with a hammer in San Bernardino County had survived three military tours in Iraq and a recent knife attack.
Authorities say 25-year-old cable technician Trevor Neiman was killed Monday while working at a Victorville home. Johnny Acosta, a relative of the home's owner, was arrested after fleeing the scene.
Neiman served with the Marines from October 2003 to 2008. His sister Casie Barnard says her brother also survived a May stabbing and was recently married in Las Vegas.
Acosta is scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
The motive for the attack was unclear.
