SAN DIEGO (AP) - The California Highway Patrol has closed a major freeway connector in San Diego after about 200 gallons of paint spilled off a truck.
Officer Brad Baehr said Monday that about 40 buckets of white paint fell off the truck's flatbed as the driver rounded a curve onto eastbound Interstate 8 from northbound state Highway 163.
The CHP says the paint spilled shortly before 8 a.m. during morning rush hour. The connector is expected to remain closed until early afternoon until the area is cleaned. No injuries were reported.
