NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) - A former Tustin High School athletic trainer who pleaded guilty to having sex with a student won't face jail time.
Hope Ashley Jacoby, 24, pleaded guilty on Wednesday in a Newport
Beach courtroom to seven felony charges involving sex with a minor.
She faces three years' probation and 30 days of community service
when she is sentenced on July 29.
Orange County authorities say Jacoby began a yearlong relationship last year with a 16-year-old male student. Prosecutors say the two had sex in her car and at her home in San Juan Capistrano.
School officials became aware of the relationship after being told about images Jacoby apparently sent to the student's phone.
