SACRAMENTO (AP) - A Sacramento police report says officers stop
black motorists at twice the rate as other drivers.

The report to the city's racial profiling commission says black and Hispanic drivers also are asked to get out of their cars more than whites and Asians. Hispanics are searched by police at a disproportionately high rate.

But the report also says black and Hispanic drivers are no more likely to receive tickets.

Police Chief Rick Braziel says the report shows his department has "some issues we need to work on."

Crystal Taylor, chairwoman of the city profiling commission, says the report vindicates black residents who have felt targeted.
