SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (AP) - Two women are dead and one is in
police custody in El Dorado County in connection with the incident,
authorities say.

A woman called the California Highway Patrol from the small foothills town of Pleasant Valley to say she had been shot yesterday evening.

When sheriff's deputies arrived, two victims were found shot inside the home. One woman was dead at the scene and the second woman died en route to the hospital.

Dana Leigh Dodd, 48, was booked and jailed in nearby Placerville on charges of first degree murder. The towns are about 45 miles east of Sacramento.
