EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) - A hazardous materials response team was called to a freight facility near Los Angeles International Airport Saturday after an air cargo container holding low-grade radioactive material was exposed, authorities said.

The container was punctured, possibly by the machines used for cargo handling, Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian
Humphrey said.

Firefighters quickly isolated and removed the parcel, Humphrey said.

No one was injured and no evacuation was ordered.
