BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 21-year-old engineering student at the University of California, Berkeley.
Police say the victim's body was found at 2:45 p.m. Saturday in a sorority parking lot a few blocks from the Berkeley campus.
The man's name has not been released, but his friends say he was
set to graduate this month and start a graduate engineering program
at Cal this fall.
Police say no arrests have been made, but investigators are interviewing witnesses and expect to make an arrest soon.
Officers were originally called to investigate reports that someone had brandished a knife near the Chi Omega sorority.
