MONTEREY, Calif. (AP) - A new survey finds that most American
college students are worried about the economy and believe the
country is headed in the wrong direction.

According to the survey by the Panetta Institute for Public Policy, 53 percent of college seniors say the country is on the wrong track, while only 26 percent say it's headed in the right direction

About 85 percent of students surveyed in April describe the state of the economy as "not so good" or "poor," and about two-thirds say they're worried about finding a well-paying job.

The survey also finds that most students favor Barack Obama or
Hillary Clinton over John McCain in the presidential election.

Students listed health care, the Iraq war and college costs as the issues most important to them.
