LAKEPORT, Calif. (AP) - A Lake County man accused of fatally stabbing a 10-year-old girl and wounding her older sister has been
charged with murder and attempted murder.

Thirty-one-year-old James Roland Pagan was charged in Lake County Superior Court on Tuesday in connection with the stabbing death of Tessa Walker and wounding of 14-year-old Kristin Walker.

The sisters were attacked Friday afternoon around the corner from their home in Hidden Valley Lake, a gated community in southern Lake County.

Pagan, who lives in the same neighborhood as the girls, was identified by a witness and arrested shortly after the attack.

He's scheduled to enter a plea on April 11.
