It's been a busy time in the sports office, thanks to 10 straight days of the Reno Rodeo.  The one thing I realized the most....I miss Daniel Chanin.

Let's face it, he made my life easy.  He was a guy I could count on to get things done....and better than anyone else.  Being in a two-man office, both guys have to be self-sufficient.  I had that with Daniel.

He left his mark here at KOLO and in Reno.  Everywhere I went last week, from the Rodeo....to the Sertoma football game....to the store....everyone mentioned how much they liked him.  We should all be so lucky.

Daniel is off to bigger and better things.  He will join the sports department at KGO in San Francisco, which is pretty much home for him anyway.  He grew up in Oakland, which explains his love for the A's and the Warriors (?)  We're all happy for him here, but also fully aware of the gaping hole he left behind.

We will have a new "weekend sports" anchor eventually, but he's got big shoes to fill.  Daniel became one of my good friends, and a guy like that can't be replaced.

Good luck Daniel....and don't forget about all the LITTLE people!  You. Will. Be. Missed!
