Nineteen year old Brianna Denison of Reno disappeared early on a Sunday morning on January 20th, 2008 after staying the night at a friend's home near the University of Nevada , Reno . From information within the news so far, what is your take on the missing teen's mysterious disappearance?

Suspicious details about her disappearance have sent family members on a nationwide hunt for the missing teen.

Brianna is a student studying psychology at Santa Barbara City College in California .

She came home this weekend to visit her old Reno High School friends and her family.

Brianna and a group of friends went for a night out at a local casino in downtown Reno .

After returning to her friend’s house at around 4am she was last seen by friends asleep on a couch in the front room......

Do you have any information that could help find the missing teen?

"I wish I were in the land of cotton , land is lost but not forgotten"! a few changes of the words and I can whistle a diddy that keeps me looking for the deviant, twisted freak that has no remorse for what has been done that can never be undone, keep your dilgence in this as others are under the threat until this is done. "I wish I'd find the Man that killed her , Bri is lost but not forgotten, Look away, look away!!"

I think she knew her killer.

I see that others have recognized the similar resemblance of Bri and Juliana Redding. When Julianna's picture flashed across the TV screen I douldn't help but notice it. The police compostie drawing matches a picture of an unidentified man possibly responsible for the 1997 death of Natasha Jennings in Carson City. Is it coincidence that these 3 victims may have died in the same manner, and that the composite drawing and another picture match? The Santa Monica Police are keeping a tight lid on info so what exactly happened with Julianna is unknown. There is a blogsite where you can see for yourself http://www.noelwaters.blogsite.com I am the author of that site, never mind the political rantings of the First Judicial Court race in Carson City if it doesn't interest you. See the pictures for yourself. All these girls have similar interests as well. If anyone know who the man in the picture is, please email me on that site and/or contact the appropriate police dept's.

I strongly feel the person driving the small red car seen in the drive way at the house parked in front (seen in some of the news casts) knows something - it is a vision I had, I saw the car in a vision when she was missing, sitting in that car (before I saw it) she was a passenger, this person I strongly feel knows something.

this is like one of the most painful stories bc i had a friend that dissapeared... but she wasn't in reno and she was found dead... which is so difficult on family and close friends so what i am going to tell u to do is to interveiw everyone again now since it happened in the beginning of the year. sometimes they feel guilty bc they havnt founed anything... and remember her "FRIEND DNA!" was all over her panties! and i dont really think she was feeling her up so if you are going to interview anyone again i would totally interview her first!

Posted by: gut insincta Location: nevada
I have had a feeling since day one that her "friend" knows more than what she's saying, Who LOCKS their friend out of their room and sleeps threw and break in and an attack? Look at her eyes in the picture of her and Bri. She is evil and jealous. She admitted being jealous of her in an interview. Kind of weird that out of 4 girls living in that house, that her DNA was found on the panties found with Bri's body. JUSTICE 4 Bri??????????????? Look a little closer.

Posted by: moi Location: reno
i saw on another website a girl who left a comment was surprised that they were saying that the "pink panther" panties were "disinctive" because of the design.to me they are because i've never seen a pair like that,i think i'd be able to recognize ANY pair of panties that i own.especially those.but the girl went on to say that the reason she was surprised was because she currently owned a pair of the same panties, except they were WHITE and that they didnt seem "distinctive" or uncommon to her because she bought them at KOHLS.who knows how long ago kohls had these panties, for how long or how many they sold.i'm not sure exactly what to do with this info,i've just been thinking about it since i read it.to me the panty design seems uncommon.according to this girl, you could buy them at kohls, making them not so rare.I THINK ANYONE THAT OWNED THESE WOULD RECOGNIZE THEM.could they be stolen from a store, put on a victim(in the dark?)maybe why bri's dna was on her friends panties?a pantyfetish??

negative comments are selfish and out of fear.its hard for me to believe that someone that didnt care about this case in some way would actually take the time to post on this blog.i think the bitterness/bickering come from fear and the urge to see an end to this.most of us feel like we've done as much as we can, with the LIMITED details we've been provided.its frustrating.they want the community to help, but just keep telling us the same facts, even when its supposed to be an update.i understand why but HELP US HELP YOU!i'm so sick of the ribbon thing and wish i could ignore the negative comments.with that i will only say that EVERYTIME i see a blue ribbon i picture her face and am revived with the power to NOT forget.i've seen so many different ways that people have displayed the ribbons in her honor, and even if i didnt know their purpose,i think they look pretty on my blossoming tree.on more than 1 occasion i have picked up ribbons that were on the ground around town.dont be so lazy....

i made it a daily habit to check this blog, and i'm GLAD to see that there are new comments.i was worried when the comments slowed down,at 1 point they stopped for a few days, which i so hoped would NOT happen.i still think about this little girl ATLEAST once a day,yet i never met her in this life.from day 1,i knew i had to be involved,i felt like i knew her. because we didnt meet-up in this life i thought maybe we knew each other in a past life.i felt(and still feel)like i owe it to her to stay involved and to help anyway i possibly can.i constantly see comments from people that never knew her that are deeply affected by whats happened.so many people want to help.in MY mind and what I believe is that brianna was a person who did great things in this life and in PAST lives, someone that was looked up to and loved which is why many random strangers feel connected deeply to this case.much like being in karmic-debt.these are MY thoughts and noone has to agree or comment on them.....cont

I have heard rumors that a woman was raped this last Sat. 5/3. I havn't seen anything in the news yet. I wonder if they are waiting for the DNA., and if it's the same person. ????? God I hope not!!

just as anyone deserves this much attention, this should show that lets keep ourselves safe, lets keep the women in our lives close, let brianna live in our hearts lets find this man and not give up

If I were to put a religious spin on this entry I would put a spin that goes something like this, My Grandmother told me that, when God commands that the gates of HELL be opened to dispose of a sole that has no compassion for Life, especialy for one as fragile as that of a young women in her blossoming years that has great contributions for mankind and humanity in her prescious smile and loving heart, The Earth Does tremble as the sole that took that gift from his creation is thrown into the Lake of fire for all of eternity. Then closing the Gates. With a whisp of wind and The Grace of another day like today to insure us of beautiful things to come.Encompassing the beautiful sole of Briannas to be brought forth another lifetime. or, The tectonic plates shifted and the creeps still at large plotting another abduction, Murder. Let's keep pressing this issue. Americas Most Wanted, a personal "Thank You!" let's get this guy.

He's still out there and I'm still watchin. I'm knowing we all are.

I'm so ashamed by all this bickering back and forth. I logged on to check the BRIANNA DENISON BLOG. All I find are worthless, derogatory remarks. Someone's child was murdered. Somesone's Grandchild was murdered. I suggest if you have nothing nice or comforting to say, please blog your crap else where. For God's sake, her family might read this. Shame Shame Shame on you!!

Posted by: Anon Jenny, you are way off base. It is just not a focus on her. It is a focus to protect our children and ourselves. She is a symbol to not forget he is still out there. Duh...What do you want them to do forget about her and hope he doesn't strike again? Do you not know that he struck a girl at 4:30 in the afternoon who was walking down the street and oh yes she wasn't even drinking. Do not be so naive to believe just because a girl isn't drinking she is safe. No one is safe and don't think you are either just because you aren't out partying. Yes, we need to teach responsible behavior but just because a person doesn't party does not mean she is safe. Also you are very inconsiderate and that is so not right! Just think if it were your daughter or sister or friend how hurt you would be by your rude comments. Keep your rudeness to your self.

I Hope Brainna Denison's Killer is Punished Captured,Placed Under Arrest,Prosecuted To The Fullest Extent Of The Law,Brought To Justice,Indicted In A Court Of Law And Put In Jail Permantly For The Abduction And The Murder Of Brianna Denison Right Now

Posted by: Jenny Location: Reno, Nevada
While it is terrible that a young girl was murdered - too much new time has been spent on one person of means. Maybe we should be warning our teens about going out all night drinking (even with friends). The very young children have been traumatized by this incident. Our children are scared to go to sleep at night. Enough is enough.

To be helpful, the idea that if this were someone of lower stature in the community then no one would care, I feel is not at all true, however Brianna's story will be the cornerstone of the point we identified that this is escalating to: there are no limits this kind of person will go to. Future brianna's or black or asian or indian or etc... will recieve the escalated attention our community is giving and establish a higher normal for the routine of investigating murderous behaivior relative to this nature of crime. This, without the implications that there never has been investigations of this degree is disappointing to everyone and has a negative relationship to finding this perpetrator. Stay focused stay alert, stay committed to our objective. Our ethics will not be compromised. It is a secure and confident feeling when those sworn to an oath fullfill the obligations of this oath and justice prevails. unlike the feeling when another body is discovered."By,for, and of the People"

First of all I pray to God that Brianna's Killer gets caught, and I hope her family finds a way to go on with out her. Furthermore I hope they get the answers they need to move on, but enough is enough. Brianna is not the only young girl who lost her life to unknown circumstances or not the only young beautiful girl who was a victim of a horrible crime. I hope the press and the police realize this. I hope focus in going on all the cases not just Brianna's. Everyone of these girls who lost their lives and/or were victims of crimes are children to greiving and/or heartbroken parents as well. Their killers and perpatrators need to be caught as well. Rest in Peace Brianna.

So, putting out decoys or trying to entice this guy out would basicly be wasting time, he's an opportunist and controls his urges to his own needs. Glenn, does he enjoy reading and observing the attention? Will he fill his urge soon, again? These are average questions but with your elaboration it may help us to be alert for clues. would we expect him to stalk for a victim like parking in a car accross the street or walking by a home several times etc.. would he be clean cut? would he be slow and cunning or jittery. would he be able to carry on a conversation about what he did without alerting any of us to his inside knowledge of details which we are not priviledged to. What do you see in the eyes of a murderer like this? How do you trap key words in conversation and then keep yourself from pointing and screaming "MURDERER!" when you come in contact with him and an overwhelming compulsion to apprehend, only to get the wrong guy?

Doung: I don't think the posts have slowed. In fact, there are probably so many, that for some reason Stewart Campbell is only putting out comments that help the issue. Makes sense, since so much of the posts have turned to nothing but bickering..

CONTINUED--I don't take up for police. If police mess up a homicide investigation I will tell it like it is. Police really messed up the Jonbenet Ramsey case. Police made a bad mistake on the Green River serial killings. Police didn't know what they were doing in the Nona Dirksmeyer case in Arkansas. I happened to profile the case for Russellvile Courier. Nona had won a beauty contest and was going to run for the Miss Arkansas beauty pagent. She was found naked in a pool of blood in her apartment blunt force trauma to the head. Her boyfriend who was going to college at the U of A and was arrested. I profiled the case prior to his arrest and you can read my profile by going to the Russellville Courier search archives for Dirksmeyer. Nona's case was recently on Dateline or 48 hours can't remember which one. I stated in the interview that I had seen terrible investigations by police and questioned RPD experiance at working homicide cases. Russellville had not had a murder in 7 years.

Posted by: Glenn Owen Location: Texas
The reason why I'm interested in Brianna's case is becuase she was a sweet beautiful low risk victim. Brianna is not the only beautiful low risk victim that I've been interested in. For many years I have assessed/profiled murdered cases and have officially worked on several high profile triple murder cases. Some of the cases I've been interested in were not innocent low risk victims for example The Suffolk Strangler. He murdered 5 prostitutes in Ipswich England a few years ago. You can read my profile by searching The Suffolk Strangler...A Profile by crime writer Steve Huff. Compare my profile to the killer who was arrested weeks after I profiled the case. Stacy thousands of homicides cases go unsolved every year. The Original Night Stalker in California raped and murdered many victims in the early 70's and 80's. Police have his dna but have never been able to match it to anyone. Police can't work miracles it's not like CSI you see on TV. But at least we have his dna and that is good.

Obviously the police dont have a clue who did this. I am getting sick of people defending the cops. I remember reading in the RGJ about the rape of the girl that was dropped back off at her home. It was a tiny little story I happened to stumble acrosss. I specifically remember thinking, geez dont they believe this girl? Look it up, read it, you will think the same thing I did. I dont think the cops believed her. Apparently they didnt do much about the incident, or more people would have been aware of what happened. It took the death of a young beautiful girl to wake people up. Thats just wrong!!

Posted by: Erika I don't need to have blue ribbons to be supportive of this girl. I keep her in my prayers. The ribbons are a bit much. I think other things could be done for the rape victims NOT just Brianna!

Posted by: Anonymous Monica, get a grip. "she was like your sister and you feel as you loved her" Please~!!!! I feel bad for what happened to her but c'mon. Oh and the ribbons do have to go. They are just making trash all over the place and in a town like Reno where the wind is alwasy blowing the ribbons all over the place are adding more garbage!

Posted by: Doug Location: Sparks
It seems the posts have slowed considerably. Is there some info out there? I suppose paitence is a virtue.

Posted by: Monica Location: Reno
To all the people saying to take the ribbons down. It's not trashy it's a sign of being supportive. This is good. The community is actually coming together. Reno is a great place and I say all of you are supporting this killer to do it again. How is she supposed to rest in peace if he could do this again. She cannot rest in peace. We need to find him and she will not rest until he is. I highly doubt if someone you knew was kidnapped raped and murdered you would want them to take the ribbons down. Some people actually care and this is taking a huge toll on the community for the good and the bad. We need to find him and bring Bri justice. She was a gorgeous girl and I can see why someone would want to do this but i cannot see how they could. I personally never knew her but I feel like she was my sister and I feel as I had loved her. She seems like an amazing girl and some people I know knew her and they are really sad about this whole thing. I dont know about you but I can hardly sleep.

The Department of Justice needs to create a special department within itself that spcecifically focuses on sexual assault and rape investigations. Just like the Justice Department has the Drug Enforcement Agency for illegal narcotics investigations, it needs to have a special department for sexual assault and rape investigations. Present statistics are a s follows: An average of 1 in 6 women report being raped every year. However, seeing as how most rapes are not reported, it is estimated that actually 1 in 4 women are raped every year. And, in the rape cases that are reported, the conviction rate is about 5 or 6 percent. That is a deplorable conviction rate! I believe this low conviction rate is why many women don't report their rapes. They know there will probably be no conviction, so why bother?

Posted by: Glenn Owen Location: Texas
Annoymous if you or anyone else would like to ask me some questions you can e-mail me texasraiders2000@yahoo.com that also applies to you Panty Snatcher. I would love to hear what you have to say. Please don't tell me the devil made you do it. It may take some time before I reply.

Posted by: Glenn Owen Location: Texas
Doug, I don't think The Panty Snatcher has a conscience. He's what they call a associopath. Doesn't care about anyone but himself. Some experts say it's all about control not sex but I disagree. Sex and control is what turns this punk on and the more he does it the more he likes it. Annoymous are you from Texas and what part? I'm from North East Texas not to far from Dallas. I assessed the cases in Madison Ws over the weekend and I don't see a serial killer but two cases, one involveing the latest victim is very simuliar to the young man who was stabbed to death recently. Another female college coed from Green Bay went missing in 2006 and her remains were found 10 miles from where she was abducted, sound familiar? The two stabbing victims in my opinion were killed by a disorganized killer the girl from Green Bay was murdered by a organized killer like our boy The Panty Snatcher. The Panty Snatcher will make a mistake one day and police will match his dna. He could be moveing around???

If men were being raped with such frequency and the coviction rate was that low, I believe most of the Justice Department's investigative resources would be geared toward bringing those rapists to justice.

It was warm today, alot of us were taking in clear and fresh air,all the while I wonder, what kind of a person can even enjoy a day like today without reflecting on their conscience.everyone has a conscience. The emensity of this cruel act is larger than the Murder's conscious capacity. otherwise he would surely do himself harm, or at least fear it and turn himself in. Wouldn't you think? I mean as long as he has a brain and a body temperature above a rattlesnake. angeling my disposition towards his charachter He may be a home grown local, from a bastard family, with some kind of connection that allows him to slither around being just where everyone is not looking. Just speculation, mind you all, maybe his mate isn't very tolerable, and that excuses him to sneak out for his opportunities, also a hidding place."kids shoe on floor".I truely hope he can a least read. "it is not my place to forgive, and I am not likely to forget.

Lay off the Glen Owens guy already. Since when must one be confined to one location to be touched by murder. Enough of this "aren't you from TX?" nonsense. At least he has something to bring to the table other than criticism.

Posted by: mj Location: reno
Kay, can you be more specific about this happening all the time in reno without anyone caring? I really think you're pretty ignorant. maybe pathetic is a better word.

Posted by: kay Location: Reno
I'm sorry about what had happened to her, but if she was black, or poor no one would care and thats the truth. Little children get raped and beaten and get stolen everyday and no one cares. I'm sorry about what happened but honestly i think this was taken too far.

To Leah, it appears you haven't read the rest of this blog, so I will fill you in a little before you make any more unhelpful "comments." The house she was taken from had UNLOCKED doors, which the girls admitted was a frequent occurrence in that house. Secondly, this murder is an OPPORTUNIST who has been attacking women at odd hours of the night since the fall, so it is very probable that Bri had never seen this man before. He may have been watching the house for days prior to her abduction, but that doesn't mean Bri would have ever seen him.

Posted by: Leah Location: Belfast
if she was kiddnapped in the front room of a friends then it has to be some one who knew she was there and/or had a key to get into the house

Posted by: Doug Location: Sparks
That would be the tiny little mistake that we have been anticipating,If this is The Murderer rapist and our enforcment agents are rapidly tending to the details. The blog conversation will turn now, I would presume to Trial and evidence collection,or will there be a hearing to determine the sanity of This derranged and calculating hunter of young women. or would .30 cents for a round of amunition suffice? Well I guess that gets me out of jury duty.

Posted by: Anonymous has anyone seen in the paper that two girls were attached in Lake Tahoe? I just read it in a blog on RGJ. The blogger stated that the DNA is the same from the guy who did this to Bri.

Posted by: Doug Location: Sparks
Many educated and experienced Professional Detectives doing since day one of this event, Brainstorming in think tanks, to isolate every possible option and even some not so possible option , We are here in this Blog to generate or even confirm some of these possibilities. Mr. Owen From Texas has been fortunate ( or maybe not so fortunate) to have studied and developed a "sense" of things related to our Murder's behavior, If we were to utilize his knowledge of these things we could find ourselves in thought of things we have never ventured. our common decency limits our ability to predict outcomes. We honestly do not think of how to outwit cops, we try to abide by the laws of our own Ethics. I and use the word OUR, present company permission requested? If this Murderer is online and reading this, we are limited to not exposing thoughts or movements that would alert or forewarn him. Which places much of the outcome in the "loose lips sink ships!" catagory. God's Armor to you all...

Posted by: Anonymous Glen, Why do you not answer anyones questions on this blog? Stacy has a good point, why do you keep bloggin on this site? Why are you so interested in this case?

Posted by: cory Location: Omaha, NE
The horrible truth is that American parents and schools don't talk to the children enough about abduction and rape. Parents and schools alike should be talking to children regularly about abduction/rape prevention methods and especially date-rape prevention methods. There is a date-rape drug detection device available. It's about the size of a credit card. You stick it into your drink before you drink it. If it turns black, there is a date-rape drug in it. Every young person (especially girls) should have one of these. Plus, every girl and woman should have pepper spray in their purses. EVERY ONE!!! Until parents and schools start to make abduction/rape prevention a priority, young people will continue to be much more vulnerable to abduction and rape. Parents and schools, get on the job! Arm the kids against abduction/rape with knowledge, pepper spray, and date-rape drug detectors!

Posted by: Glenn Owen Location: Texas
MR--Your absolutely right I did state her body would be found 10 to 20 miles from the abduction site. I also stated Bri had most likely been sexually assaulted and murder prior to (weeks) before her body was found. I stated he kept souvenirs and named him The Panty Snatcher. In my opinion Bri's cause of death was ligature strangulation but that's my opinion, No one has reported that. In my opinion blood evidence found on the pillow came from the killer that's my opinion info has not been released. All these comments are my opinion. This is what I do when I assess/profile muder cases. I try to be accurate but it's hard to be accurate just reading news reports and not knowing all the evidence. News on another college coed case I profiled over 3 years ago Johnia Berry. The suspect Taylor Olsen committed suicide in a jail cell yesterday. Left a suicide note claiming his friend murdered Johnia. To read my profile of the killer search A Knoxville Mystery part 3 by Steve Huff.

Posted by: cory Location: Omaha, NE
I'm afraid we just can't protect people who don't take measures to protect themselves. I just read about a woman in South Carolina who was raped by a man running a fake taxi scam. She got in his cab then said he needed to take care of something and drove her to his home and asked her to go inside his home with him...and she went! Once inside, he raped her. I would never go in some strange cab driver's house, and I'm a guy! Then I read about a female college student in Kansas who was raped by a man who broke in through the back door of the house. By her on admission, the back door was in serious need of repair. If you are a young woman, you have to get things like that taken care of ASAP! I know I would and, again, I'm a guy! I am not blaming victims, here, I'm jus saying young women have to be extra-vigilant when it comes to their personal safety. They are their own first line of defense. Rapists are always watching. Young women ALWAYS have to be on guard.

Glen Owen, you said in one of your posts "our killer" I thought you were from Texas. I have detective friends and they usually keep their mouths shut but you go on and on about this case. You just dont sound like a profiler to me. Do you blog on other sites on murders in other cities and states. I am just wondering what has drawn you so close to this case. You have been spending a lot of time on this since day one trying to convince everyone here in Reno how smart you are. I just dont understand you.

ok for all of you who hate the idea of the ribbons (give me a break!), do you remember when family of bri said to take the ribbons down on the day of her funeral well....i read somewhere that she will be buried on her bday next to her dad at an undisclosed location....so if you still want to keep them up its yr choice but as for anyone who really doesnt like them , go ahead and take them down but not TILL MARCH 29TH!!there does that end the ribbon discussion, i sure hope so...R.I.P. BRIANNA, YR ALWAYS IN OUR MINDS AND HEARTS FOREVER!!

Alisha, Use your head. You don't have to be partying to get raped. Yes, it may make you more vulnerable at times, but people get abducted in the middle of the day as well who don't drink. One of the attempted victims was walking down the street at 4:30 in the afternoon and I can imagine she hadn't been drinking. Don't think just because you aren't partying at night that you aren't at risk yourself to be a victim. Stop blaming the victim. Stop your hurtful comments..no one can do anything to deserve being raped and murdered. Last, be careful as you are at risk yourself.

Posted by: Michelle Location: Reno
I am so frustrated! Would it be trespassing if I started peering into the windows of parked SUVs and pickup trucks? When I see trucks go by, or peer into the drivers side while at a stop light, the trucks are so much taller, that I feel like if the killer was next to me, I wouldn't even know it! I want to find this scum bag, NOW!!

Posted by: mj Location: reno
I heard they slightly changed the suspects description. He could be as tall as 6'3''. I'm sure this will get people to start thinking about other people. Hopefully he'll be off the street soon.

Posted by: MR Location: Reno
Glenn Owen, It looks like you are given to much information!!!! How would you know that Bri would be found 10 to 20 miles alway? You also post a lot of ads on this and you keep saying that the killer is keeping up with the news and updates on the case just like you are!!!!! are you sure that you are from Taxes and that is your name?

If this were an isolated one time abduction, assault, murder, and no one else had been assaulted, Yeah, maybe I could believe this worm, weavle, parasite was just passing through and she was the unlucky victim of a random event, but , NO! this (Puke Bag) is here . he is right in the thick of our humble "biggest little city in the world" and he has a stench about him. Some of the finest blood hounds in the world are gonna sniff him out , it may make a couple of us uncomfortable, but a sacrifice so small for an achievement so great. So to you "Murderer, run, hide get comfortable, live in your euphoria. This is over when the outcome is Justice, for all. Your freedom, Murderer, your just a simple little mistake away from captivity. Honestly, think of it , How many murderer rapists are standing next to you any of you . right now. thats right, possibly one, and I know who is not. everybody do your homework and lets eliminate this to it's lowest denominator. he's there and we will find him.

Rae, here is the beginning of the story you referred to about the girl in Santa Monica found dead in her apartment as reported by alaskareport.com. This girl was a stripper. When you deal in that environment, God only knows what kind of degenerates you will attract. Juliana Redding, an aspiring model from Arizona, was found dead inside her Santa Monica apartment on Sunday morning. Cops are investigating the death of the 21-year-old model/stripper whose body was found at about 6:10 p.m. by officers from the Santa Monica Police Department.

Shut up "r" The blue ribbons that are up now are enough. In fact they are too much. I have better things to do then just keep thinking about what happened. Pray for her that's what you need to do. Get on with your life! Life it too precious and short to just live in fear.

I looked up the article on the 21 yr. old, found dead in Santa Monica, Juliana Redding. People need to look at her picture, it looks like Brianna, so much so it made the hair on my neck stand up. I am sure the police are in looking into it, it seems too similar, or an odd coincidence, based on looks and the fact that she was found to have been sexually assalted. Well at least people can start thinking about who they know who might have gone to Santa Monica, or the Los Angeles area, recently. DNA was taken from the sidewalk outside according to the article, hopefully the killer's DNA was present.

Thanks Ken for those kind comments. Next time please add OLD dumb cold man. NV working girls are not good enough for this scum bag. He likes them young and innocent and he likes to control them. It's all part of his sexual fantasie that he thinks about all the time. The more he thinks about it the more he gets turned on until he can't control his urge. Then the urge takes over and when that happens he makes mistakes. Police have never reported this but our boy likes bondage. You can bet he used restraints on Bri and ligature strangulation imo was the mode of death. As time goes by our killer gets better at the art of killing and abduction. Practice makes perfect is the old saying and it applies to serial rapist/killers. Your absolutely right Ken the reason why I post on this site is to keep people talking and aware they have an organized killers on the loose. I do it on all the murder cases I profile. It also an educational tool for some because this is not my first Bar Beque.

Terrance Hofus, 44, was arrested Sunday near the Park Lane movie theater following a law enforcement sting operation. A criminal complaint says Hofus was waiting on a bench and appeared to be responding to a text message sent by an FBI agent who posed as the 14-year-old girl. Authorities say two eighth-grade girls from Sparks somehow began text messaging Hofus, believing he was a 15-year-old boy named Trevor. At one point the girls sent nude photos of themselves. Investigators say the suspect then threatened to post the photos on the Internet if they didn't meet him for sex. KOLO NEWS

Enough about the ribbons! They are reminders not only of a loss of an innocent life but personal safety. All too often cases like this die off and it happens again and I hope all of Reno keeps replacing the blue ribbons until Bri and her family gets the justice they deserve. I also hope Reno keeps the yellow ribbons to remind us that our loved ones are in harms way and fighting a war. No ribbon is more important than any other...we all know yellow is for our troops, pink is for breast cancer and blue is for Bri, her family, friends and our community. If the blue ribbons look trashy I suggest we remove and replace them with new blue ribbons until this man is in prison! Is that so hard to do? I know that when I see a blue ribbon I am reminded of an innocent girl and a case not yet solved and I know it hasn't been forgotten. Ribbons are reminders and we must remind those of things that are still there. The war is still here, breast cancer is still here and Bri still hasn't gotten justice.

Posted by: r we need to put up more blue ribbons, poster, anything and keep her spirit alive and keep people talking and looking. We can not forget as a community. We can not let one person bet us.

There was a 21 yr old female from Santa Monica found dead due to blunt trauma w/o forced entry. She appears to have a similar appearance to Brianna. The story is on foxnews.com. Just another possible correlation?????

Thank goodness some people remember what this blog is about. What if he couldn't deal with it and committed suicide or had an accidental drug overdose during that time? What about doing DNA on guys in that age range that have passed on due to suicide between the night Brianna was kidnapped and now.

I think this is cool!Even if your dumb comments sound like you are a cold dumb man you are still keeping people talking.Say what you well,do what ever you feel. When it comes down to it we will find this guy and others like him.NV has working girls there is no need for this kind of stupid stuff to go on.Thats why laws should be even more harsh on sex ofenders. What is sad is that a young girl like Bri could of saved my kid later in life or been a friend.(I do not have kids)but I am just saying she had a hart for kids and it was taking. That is sad we will find you this is only the start of your pain.My name is Ken the man that will not back down we will find you.....!we will find you....!

As time goes by and no one is arrested for the brutal murder of Brianna people start to get very frustrated. That's understandable and you can see it on this web site. It happens in every high profile murder case and it's understandable. People need to understand NO one can work miracles on these type of cases. It may take months or years before the killer messes up and police can match his dna. Their is a possibility his dna will never be matched but I doubt that will happen. Remember he has a problem with his sexual URGE. But at least we have his dna. In many cases we don't have any dna that can link a killer to a murder and be able to prove his guilt beyond reasonable doubt. If this killer is ever caught you can stick a fork in his butts he's done! People need to know our killer may have moved on to another college university because he's real hot in Reno. Remember organized killers are smarter than disorganized killers and keep up with the investigation and media reports.

That is enough!!! With the Blue Ribbons. This is childish and f--- rude. This site should be use for words of wisdoms and maybe some words of advice to catch this fucking asshole who wouldn't give a second thought to killing you or your loved ones to get away. Here we are yelling at each about some fucking blue ribbons. Shut up!!! We need to stand up and let this MURDERER know we will not FORGET what you DID!! And if that mean we have to be reminded of her murder every day with the ribbon OH WELL, but every time he steps out his house and see the color blue or the ribbon blue it will remind him that he was in the wrong .STOP being so DAMN petty. Try looking at the BIG PICTURE it is not the battle but the war we want to win. I wish that was the only thing I had to worry about. I as a female have to worry about this sicko coming after me or the female in my family. I ‘ll be damn, Try putting yourself in the position of a female and have to change everything you know as normal on hold

It just makes me sick to hear all these negative comments made about bri's disappearanceand murder If it was their relative I hope they would be doing all they could to find her or him. Some people are just so self centered. This has been a major tragedy in Reno. I do believe the killer is probably blogging on this site, if you are, burn in hell, you will be caught!!

Posted by: brit Location: reno
TRASH???TRASH??? NO the blue ribbons do NOT look trashy AT ALL. To whomever keeps saying we need to take them down, is probably the a**hole who did this to her. These ribbons have NOTHING to do with soldiers...nobody ever said we forgot about our soldiers over seas, but this has nothing to do with them. It has to do with an innocent girl who was brutally raped and murdered and the fact uis we need to remember that he is still out there. I for one hink the ribbons are beautiful and if i ever see anyone taking them down, you bet yoru ass i will say something to them and go and put one right back up in its place!

SHAME ON EVERYONE HERE.

Wow...some of you have flipped your lid. The blue ribbons comparison to the yellow ribbons is so ridiculously off base. Just wait until your daughter, wife, girlfriend, relative etc. is the next victim. I still would venture to say the weird comments coming in about taking them down and comparing them to yellow ribbons and other comments are coming from the murderer. I don't think anyone else could be so cold.

I agree California - TAKE DOWN THE BLUE RIBBONS! HAVING THEM IS NOT GOING TO BRING BRIANNA BACK. let her rest in peace. Put up yellow ribbons for out troops who are dying for our freedom. I can't belive that we have forgotten about them so soon.

Posted by: Rose you in Calif: are they in California? Why are you worried about what we do in Nevada?

Posted by: Michelle Location: Nevada
I don't see how Brianna could have knew her attacker, since he is tied to 2 (or is it 3?) other attacks...she lived in Reno, yes, but was here on winter break. I believe that she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. This monster should burn in hell, but I read that if he truly believes in Christ, then he will be forgiven..why would God forgive a murderer? The SOB deserves to rot in Hell, not spend eternity in Heaven.

Posted by: Mark Location: Reno
To California...Brianna is resting in peace. The blue ribbons are not there to keep Bri from resting. The blue ribbons are there to keep Bri in our thoughts and to remind everyone to be vigilant int the efforts to find Bri's killer. The sooner those ribbons come down, the sooner the community might forget and lower their guard. The ribbons remind all of us to remember, learn and fight. This creature stole Bri and stole a little more of this community's innocence. As long as Bri's memory reminds us to keep searching the sooner this creature will be caught. If anything is keeping Bri from resting in peace is her knowledge that her killer still walks free among us. I've said enough and I need to go add some more blue ribbons to our community.

Posted by: Anonymous i agree....take em down.

This is not just about Brianna! This is not just about blue ribbions!Or about what God will do to this man when he dies!It is about a sick person who needs to get off the streets of Reno. This is a place for people to have fun enjoy there young live's,and go home safe!So stop with the God stuff,For if you knew the Bible at all you would know God would not let this go!

Posted by: Anonymous Location: Reno
The blue ribbons do not need to come down. They are there to serve as a reminder to Bri's killer that this community as a whole will not rest until she is given justice. They also servel as a reminder to all young women to be careful and aware of their surroundings. It is easy for most young women to go on with their lives and become overly comfortable in their surroundings even this soon after such a brutal attack on one of their peers. By keeping the blue ribbons up hopefully we can keep another college aged girl from becoming his next victim. Please stop complaining about the blue ribbons... if you hate them so much, then by all means don't put any up on your own property. As for the rest of us, we will continue to place blue ribbons as a reminder to the friends and family of Bri that they are in our hearts.

It is too bad that we allow criminals to treat innocent humans like trash, not unlike an old MacDonald’s wrapper, used and thrown out the door when they are finished. If we, as an evolved society, would send the message that this behavior and treatment of other humans was not acceptable and those violations such as this result in the permanent and instant removal from society, I’m talking death sentence here, then there wouldn’t be crowded jails and repeat offenders. When you take the wrong choices away people will make the right choices. Currently it is like living in the wild, competing by physical violence to gain territory or breading rights.

Let Brianna rest in peace. Enought of the blue ribbions. Let the police do their job. TAKE DOWN THE BLUE RIBBIONS

Posted by: Susan Location: Reno
This whole thing is sad. Especially the events of this young woman's death. I honestly believe she knew her attacker. I don't think she was a victim of a random or serial murder. For some reason I believe her killer was very close to her. When the blue ribbons first came out I could't help but wonder if anyone had ever combed her hair and placed ribbons in it. Then I wondered if she knew Jesus. I wondered how many times she was told she was loved and I wondered if she knew how beautiful she really was. I don't mean on the outside only but on the inside of her soul. Life is precious. I believe in life after death and I believe in heaven very much. Her killer will get to see Justice some day. And the Bible says that it would be better for him to have a millstone tied around his neck and cast into the sea than to hurt one child that belongs to HIM. Regardless her killer won't get away with this crime. Peace p.s. A millstone weighs approx 1000 lbs

To everyone posting, Keep your kind words coming. I really enjoy reading and posting on this blog. Has anyone considered that the person who keeps writing negative things about race, and blue ribbions might as well be the killer? Everyone feels this sicko likes the attention he is getting. The people who write such mean things on here are looking for the same thing the killer is, a reaction. I am proposing that we stop commenting on stupid remarks and ignore them. Stop giving these idiots the attention they crave. I think the Denison family knows how the people of Reno feel about this crime. They have had so much support from complete strangers,They do not need us to defended them against a few morons (Like, 1 out of 100 who dislikes the blue ribbons). Lets not comment on dumb people anymore.

I would hate to think that there is an outside video camera somewhere in that neighborhood that recorded the event but has gone undetected. My Wife has an infrared night view camera set up outside our front door due to all the thefts that take place in our neighborhood and it has worked very well in viewing the activities of people in our yard that do not belong there. It would just be Luck if there would be one of similar description in that area, but no one knows it is there or believes it not to be helpful.

Anonymous...I'm glad you took the time to rant and rave about something like this, but thats what Craigslist is for. Are you that kind of a person, the one who needs another person to wipe your a$$?? Its really not that hard to pick up these posters and ribbons yourself. Perhaps, instead of spending your free time blogging and complaining, You could, I dont know, have some respect for what has happened to the Denison family. Im not sure if you realize how much of a jackass you sounded like. It really sounds like a personal problem to me, Im sure youre just mad because the old posters ended up in front of your house, people may have mistaken it for a dump sight while hanging up the new ones. Just a thought. So instead of bloggin away, I think that you sould take the 3 minutes it took you to type that, and possibly contribute to the hard work people put into tying to bring Brianna home, and all the hardwork that we have done to make sure she is not forgotten. Have a nice day.

Hey anonymous, way to miss what's important. This girl was murdered and you're annoyed that our community's way of remembering her is causing some litter? Then you think that it should be up to her grieving family and friends should go around town and clean them all up? I've never posted anything on any blog but your heartless comment merits a response. I hope your happy with yourself and your ridiculous way of looking at this tragic situation. Litter? Slap yourself.

How would you feel if someone said such a stupid remark if it was your daughter or friend that died. Im sorry, but I could give a rats a** about blue ribbons on the floor, remembering Bri and the fact that this sicko is still out there, is much more important. If you care so much about them, then pick them up yourself jerk!!!!!!!

The Organized Killer follows reports of his crimes in the media and changes jobs or moves to a different city when he beleives he may be detected. The mad dog killers of Eve Carson and Lauren Burk have been arrested. All three of these idiots were disorganized killers. See how stupid disorganized killers are compared to organized killers. The Panty Snatcher is not stupid and is very bold. He's aware of his growing compulsion to act out his murderous sexual desrires. He will typically use restraints on his victims and bring a weapon with him , which he will then take with him when he leaves. WHEN YOUR HOT YOUR HOT WHEN YOUR NOT YOUR NOT. THE PANTY SNATCHER IS HOT HOT HOT IN RENO. He may have located to another city near another unversity in order to full fill his sexual muderous desires. He will blend into society very well may be married and could even have children. We just don't know at this time. Just remeber one thing Panty Snatcher. WE HAVE YOUR DNA!!!!

Why in all of these kinds of situations do people start ripping on the police? I have no family that are cops, so it is not a personal issue with me, but I do feel upset that people always blame the cops. I feel they are doing the best they can and need our support. Most of them I am sure also have wives, daughters, friends, etc. who are at risk and want him just as bad as the rest of us. Put the blame back on the murderer. It is not the victim's fault, her friends' fault, nor the cops fault. They need our support.

It's sad to say but maybe if someone is afraid to turn him in, they will be tempted if the reward was much bigger. I don't know if Dateline and other shows are paying family members but if so maybe it would be worth it to put the money towards Brianna's reward and see it that might convince someone to turn him in. I know the shows are helping get the word out but maybe they could make a donation.

Ezekiel, your an idiot. I have NEVER heard of a family complain that the media didnt help them to find their missing loved one. So it is up the the family and friends to push as hard as they can, you dont sit back and let it happen all by itself. Bri's family loved her and she had many many friends. That is why this got media attention. You better hope this never happens to someone you love because obviously you wouldnt care enough to try and find them. Why dont you grow up and quit making this a race issue. Have you watched the news lately there is a Black man winning the democratic race for president. The race card is a dead issue!!

You will be thinking differently if someone you love is the next victim.

I bet the coward killer just loves sitting back and reading these emails.. all the attention he gets, he probably responds to most of them. I think a cop should go undercover and walk down the street close to the area where he commits his cowardly acts and maybe he will try to kidnap the cop, who should tase his *** , why not, they go undercover to get drug dealers don't they? Hope your reading this today Mr. Killer... You must feel horrible, doesn't your heart get to you? You know you want to turn yourself in, someone already knows who you are and will probably get brave enough to turn you in anyway.. how can you live with yourself every single day? Come on Reno P.D.!!! Go undercover.... catch him... walk the streets, he will strike again and then you got him!

Posted by: Ray What happened to my comment re: the fact that this guy needs to "cool off"? Am I being censored? To ezekiel and all others who ahve made this about race... STOP!!!!!!!!!!! There are reasons why this got the coverage it did... It was because of the way she was taken and the brutality of it. Also she has a family who contacted every person they could think of to get the word out to find her. They WORKED HARD to let the public know. So go play your petty race card antics some where else. A beaautiful young life was taken, and I as a mom who lost her 18 year old daughter less than a year ago would have been as sympathetic to ANYONE of ANY RACE if the same thing hapened to them. Great job to the family for never giving up and to Brianna I hope you can rest in peace.

Posted by: Deb Location: California
Poople often mention the unlocked door. It is possible that he could have stolen keys and let himself in.

Posted by: Mark I think Bri becoming the victim was just a fluke. With the discovery of the pink underwear, it becomes obvious that this guy was stalking the other girls in the house. Remember he had been lurking for about a month and just waiting for the right time. The house was left unlocked as a matter of routine. The interviews show this house had a very open door policy for the common areas and only locks on the bedrooms - very similar to a sorority. So this guy watches and waits and when it came time to strike, Brianna was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. From what it sounds like, Brianna's stay over was never planned and they just ended up there at the end of a night of partying. Why go after someone in a locked room when there is an easier target completely unguarded? As for the dog, he was probably used to the open door policy of people coming and going. No doubt that there was some drinking involved and that would cause everyone to sleep really deep.

Posted by: Michelle Location: Sparks
You suck Ezekiel. Have you no heart? The media coverage has been outstanding. Stop playing the race card! If this had happened to a black women, Reno would feel the same. Look at the circumstances. So unusual, so unfair. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I think it's part of what has drawn Reno together. Not her skin color, family closeness, etc. She was just starting out in life, stayed at a friends house (whose door was unlocked, and front door was all glass with no curtain - NOT Brianna's responsibility), and was kidnapped, strangled and dumped in a field. She was petite, so next to her killer, its sad that she likely couldn't defend her self. You're really dumb, because the blue ribbons are there for remembrance. Obviously they won't single handedly catch the killer. We must not forget Brianna, because in doing so, this will help us remember what has happened and hopefully bring justice to her family and the community. We aren't going to pretend this never happened!!!

Posted by: Ray Location: Sparks
Re: my last post. I referenced www.seansellers.com because he was a 16 year old boy who commited 3 murders and there was a lot of media confusion over them calling him a serial killer. The legal arguement that gave him the death sentence was the fact that he "cooled off" before he killed again. If I'm confusing you, I'm sorry, but the Brianna story is very important to me and I want to catch this guy, too, but it's going to take a novel approach if you want to catch him fast. Stop talking about him: he'll do it again, and if not, then go on. He's not a Rock Star. RPD has a chance to catch him: don't delay their efforts by shouting at world. Sorry about being so mouthful.

Posted by: Ray Location: Sparks
This guy is NOT a serial rapist/killer. At least not yet. A serial rapist/killer commits their acts and then, after a "cooling off period" commits them again. That is the definition and you can read more about it at www.seansellers.com (you will have to drill down to find the info, but it is very real). So in that vein, our attention to the manhunt puts this guy into a forced "cooling off period." Because of that attention, what could have taken only months may take years, even longer. If this guy has the urge to do it again, we have spoiled it by making him famous. His urge is slightly-supressed and he will strike again (but you will never know when or where, or even how). I wish RPD would just "get smart" and "think about it". If you want to catch this guy, you need to use an illusion in the media and get the bastard captured. Instead, you have turned him into a Rock Star and it sucks because he is laughing at you until he works the nerve to strike again.

Ezekiel, how dare you place race issue on the death of this child? You are out of line. No matter what Reno is a small community and we stick together no matter what race they are! If you have proof of a murder of women that did not get the same attention as Ms Denison in Reno because of her skin color or her “status" I would like the proof. It is people like you that keep mess up. Stop living in the past and remember Ms Denison life was TAKEN away. Did you hear what I said her LIFE not her skin color or her money But her LIFE. Her mother will never meet her grandchildren or her son in law. They will never see their daughter again, put yourself in their shoes. What if that was your mother, sister, aunt or niece God forbids your own flesh and blood your Daughter. How would you feel if some threw the race card on her death? Grow up, and this is coming from an African American women.

Come up with ideas that maybe havn't been thought of. Who would be out at that hour. Someone getting off work, such as hospital employee, casino worker, enforcement, 24 hour gym employee, newspaper deliverer or someone that runs early am when they get home. Or maybe on their way to work at that time. .

I feel horrible for the girls that lived in the house. Do some of the people that are posting here realize that they too have suffered a traumatic event in their life? They went out and had a good time as friends, something most of of us have done in when we were that age. Their best friend is no longer with them, I can't imagine what they may be feeling too. The police obviously have done everything and said they had nothing to do with it so why all the negativity about these girls. This could have happened to anyone, especially when you're dealing with a sick person. I've read blogs and comments that have not been very nice when it comes to the gals in the house. Give me a break, were you not young once? Maybe the guy was hiding in the house already and the door wasn't really unlocked. Maybe she opened it because it was somebody she knew or met that weekend. Alot of maybe's but why make these girls feel like they are guilty. Instead come up with some ideas that maybe

For the RPD to rule out the last person she was seen with and whos DNA was found at the crime scene, seems a little absurd to me. Who locks themselves in their room and leaves their friend on an uncomfortable couch with a thin little pillow? Not anyone I'd consider a friend. I think we should look a little harder into the background of this so called "friend" She knows more than she is letting on. Remember in the beginning Scott Petterson was also "RULED OUT" until more info on his hidden lifestyle came out.

The media coverage is ridiculous. This would have never happened if the victim was of color, didn't have money, or had a well connected family. Also this making her out to be the patron saint of reno is a bit much. How are blue ribbons going to help us catch this guy?

Posted by: Anonymous Location: Reno
"R" to answer your question they have ruled out every girl who was in the house.

Posted by: Anonymous Location: Reno
I think, what the new pink underwear mean, is that this guy had been in the house before. Maybe that is why he knew the door would be unlocked. I think he did have his eye on the house. I wonder what time of day the house is empty? If it is during the day.... Maybe a UPS or postal worker delivered a package and the door was unlocked and he snoped around. Took only a pair of underwear, so that nobody would notice and put up thier gaurd. Then he planned to come back. When the other victim was not home(the one he tried to break into) he got really desperate and went back and got lucky. I have a feeling he was watching the house. Mackay residents, did you notice anyone or receive a package? Order anything online recently? I hope the police are asking these questions already, I am just a civilian with common sence.

I would like to commend all the people that are standing up to the ribbon haters! How can someone be so uncaring, everyone put up more ribbons!!! After seeing the last blog asking for the people that attended the party, I have thought since day one, did Bri meet someone and ask them to meet her back at the house, and that is why the door was left open? I am not indicating that Bri was anything other than a young girl, but sometimes you meet someone and you let them in, with good intentions! There are so many things that led up to this horrible tragedy, any possibility is worth looking at at this point. I would like to know more about the guy that tried to abduct some young woman w/in the last week? Why would someone try that at a time like this, he had some nerve, or a compulsion he couldn't control? Who is he? And where is he? Keep putting up the ribbons, for Bri, for soldiers, for cancer, for whatever the hell you want to, just keep reminding people with the colors!!!!!!!

I just heard on the news that they found another pair of panties at the place her body was found. They are asking for anyone who has had panties stolen to report it. My old neighbor who lived next to me (in the same area that all the recent crimes have been committed) about 6 or 7 years ago had her place ransacked while she was out of town and the guy took every piece underwear she owned. He took some other things like tools and her medicine cabinet mirror right out of the metal door that holds it, but the strangest thing was the underwear. There were fingerprints left but the police didn't take them. Also a friend of mine's daughter had underwear stolen from a laundromat in South reno but that was about 5 or 6 years ago. I still think this guy has been up to stuff for quite awhile, and now it has progressed to rape and more recently murder.

Posted by: R with the new news about the underwear, so that means that one of the girls who she stayed with at the house, KNOWS WHO DID THIS? Is that what the news is saying? Could this girl have something to do with her murder? Jealous? Have they interviewed this girl?

...why would you even post something like that in here? a family and tons of others are grieving over the loss of a loved one, a loss of a life in general, and all you can negatively think of is how tired of the ribbons you are. what you might want to think about next is about how selfish and inconsiderate you were being when you posted that on this blog. maybe they should start an anti-positive, anti-brianna or anti-love for brianna blog for people that feel like posting negative crap about things like ribbons and how annoying it is to see them. and then you could blog-away about how miserable you are without having to conceal that fact by bashing ribbons that serve as a reminder of several things, mainly the passing of a life. please show some respect next time...............

he may even like the blue ribbons, you know, the constant reminder of just how popular he finally is-wrong way to become famous~loser, and how beautiful she is-was and always will be~too bad she wouldnt've looked twice in your direction if she'd been given the choice~the only way you can get girls is to take them, and that his acts have turned a community upside down-because he's cool like that, and of how people fear him-he's even cooler now that people refer to him as a monster~ooh neat, and of how strong he is-even tho the only people that he was slightly stronger than were 5'0" 100 lbs or less...and women, no less~such a big(excuse for a)man~weak, desparate, pathetic pile-o-trash=THATS REALLY WHAT YOU ARE! and thanks to the blue ribbons,we are constantly reminded of that, not that we'd ever forget that tho. (my suggestion to all the ribbon haters=maybe you shoul go hang out with the serial rapist/murderer, sounds like you guys might have some things in common-like hate) &...next post

Good points Tee. Heck he may have even gone to the memorial or be writing on this Blog. He might even be the ribbon hater on this blog. He really is the only person that I see that truly has the excuse to hate blue ribbons. You just never know...I am sure they are looking at everything possible.

CE--I just read where Lt McDonald stated the police made the dna mistake not the lab. I also read where RPD is having a news conference Thursday and will be releaseing new info. Folks you can bet RPD has more info than we know about. Some evidence can't be released because it may damage the investigation and prosecution when and if the killer is ever arrested. I think he will be arrested but it may take time. It took 3 years in the Johnia Berry case. Another cold case I followed and asssessed was The Original Night Stalker Sacramento in the 70's and 80's. The serial killer murdered 10 and sexually assaulted 50 women. A good read for you Cyber Detectives www.ear-ons.com. EAR stands for east area rapist. Police have his dna but for 30 years he has remained unidentified. What was interesting to me about the ONS was how bold he was and how many chances he took but was able to elude the police. He would break into peoples houses sexually assault them, kill them. Then eat a ham sandwich.

I have been following this blog since the beginning. It is not about blue ribbons or underage drinking or unlocked doors or what not. Yes it could have been avoided and things were done that probably never should have. But none of that could be changed. We are to the point this guy has got to be caught. It is not because Brianna was white and the hispanic girl was just that hispanic, the facts are so different. One ran away for reasons unknown and the other was abducted in a way that we all would fear. Lets concentrate on finding this guy instead of putting blame on people who you think deserve it for reasons you think you know. Stick to the facts. If you dont like the ribbons dont look, if you want to put out your own for your own reasons then do it. But dont let the petty bickering over the unimportant overshadow what is important. A killer must be caught. Lets focus on that.

What a good point you make regarding the former 'petty assaltant' 4-5 years ago. More people should be thinking like this, he didn't just decide to go out and commit these crimes, if he has been a local, or even a returnee to the area, his crimes would mature into rape and murder, if gone undetected. I wondered too if he was watching up in the hills at the discovery of her body, and in the distance at her memorial. Surely FBI and RPD were glassing the hills for onlookers??? People can come up with amazing things if they just try to think back, classmates, prior crimes, fettishes, I liked the person looking on Craigslist for underwear freaks, I didn't think to do that, but good for you! Any more news on the missing Latino teen?

Does anyone remember about 4 or 5 years ago seeing posters and e-mails all over the UNR campus of a sketch of a guy and a description of four incidents occuring with him? I remember the picture well and he looked liked the sketch they have up now. If I do remember right, there was an incident where he was at the foot of a female and her boyfriend's bed (3 a.m.?) staring at them and when they awoke he ran. Also he groped a girl near campus. Next he was seen by a female in her back yard at 5:00 in the morning and took off. There was one more incident too, and I do remember they were all in the same area as the cases that have happened recently. (Right there on that side of campus.) Might he have been testing the waters back then and now have finally built up to rape and then murder? I have heard that it is common to do this behavior and build up to rape. I worked on campus at that time and I don't ever remember him being caught. I would not be suprised if it were him.

O.K. so here we go with the ribbons issue again. If you want ribbons for others then quit complaining and go put them up. Just wait until your daughter, friend, mother, etc. is the next victim then maybe you will realize how important it is we stay on this guy. The ribbons serve as a reminder of this issue. Thank-you to those who have hung the ribbons, and who fight to keep the search going to protect me and other women/girls in the community. I appreciate your hard work and effort and the ribbons symbolize that to me, and they also remind me to not forget he is still out there. Please don't give up and please leave the ribbons. Our community needs them. Stay safe everyone.

Anonymous--He's toying with the police. I'll bet a Texas size cheesburger on it. We know organized killers have certain behavioral patterns. They despose of the body 10 to 20 miles from abduction site in a remote area to destroy evidence. Ligature strangulation is usually the cause of death but not always. Their average to above average in intelligence. They work and have transpertation and blend in very well. They like to be involved in the investigation in some way. May attend memorials and voluntier to search. They study police tactics and many times are related to someone in law enforcement. It's hard for me to beleive the thongs just happened to be found near Bri. You can bet their is more to the story police are not releasing. We know he stole undies from another victim as a souvenire. Surely RPD understands if other panties were taken he's obviosly toying with them. I mean what's he doing driveing around with a car full undies and one just happens to fall out?

Posted by: Glenn Owen Location: Texas
CE--I think things happen in murder cases but when their HIGH PROFILE as this one you should make sure the information you release to the news media and public is accurate. It doesn't change my profile of the killer and it doesn't hamper the investigation in any way but it looks bad. That to me is a big deal exspecially when it comes to the prosecution stage. But again things happen in homicide investigations. I could tell you some horror stories on how police have conducted homicide investigations. I'm sure the RPD was provided erroneous results from the lab. But you know how those sleezy defense attorneys are. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury the RPD did this and that and the lab made serious mistakes and please save the Panty Snatcher. His father was mentally abusive to him and and his mother when he was a child. Spanked his buttocks excessively hard causing him to enjoy pain and like panties. The defense will try every trick in the book to get the scum bag off. DO NOT HELP!!

Posted by: Anonymous the blue may serve a purpose now but in a couple months sadly young girls are gonna go on with their life, drink, party, lose control..ect. The ribbons aren't gonna catch anybody... this sick a**hole, I fear is gonna get away with it...especially with our RPD investigating it....Come on GUYS!!! Also what about all the other unsolved murders/ kidnappings, here in Reno???? also on AMW ther is 39 missing persons in this area of nevada/california, Why don't we hang ribbons for these innocent people??? NEVER HEARD ANYTHING ON THESE PEOPLE???? Sorry to say but be are treating this case like she was our HERO! Glen, The police don't think this man is taunting them, but I think you might be on to something, pink panther....making fun of the detectives. That makes so much sence and if that was the rapists intentions then we are dealing with a very sick man. I saw something on Craigs list today, It was a posting from a man who was willing to pay woman for their used panites. Gross! I was looking because I came across this posting in Sept. and thought it was so weird. You need a valid email address to post an ad on Craigs list, maybe the cops should look there. I was looking for pantie clues, thinking this guy might post something on there. It is a longs shot but as a member of the community I want this guy caught!

Glenn what do you think about Lt. McDonalds comment today "No Big Deal"? The DNA on the thongs didn't belong to the sicko perv.

Posted by: KF Location: Sparks
As far as I'm concerned there are not enough blue ribbons. Not only are they a reminder to all of the potential victims in this community to be aware, but they also should serve as a warning to the man who is doing this and that warning is.....EVERYONE is looking for you-you will be caught, it's only a matter of time!! He can't help himself-obviously-and there will be another attempt on some young lady in our community. Hey you blue ribbon hater-it's your community also-that is why the community is pulling together-just as we should financially, prayerfully and in whatever way anyone can to help find this criminal and get him off of the streets in OUR community-your community "annonymous"-you should be grateful that your community is not going to rest until we feel safe again!!!

Posted by: Glenn Owen Location: Texas
According to Louisa's poster she was reported missing 2/21/08 Brianna was found before she was reported missing. Another observation the thongs were small size Louisa is very small only 90 lbs. I wonder when she really went missing??? Hearts & Pink Panther the bumbling Inspector.

Posted by: Glenn Owen Location: Texas
ENDANGERED RUNNAWAY--could mean she left with an older man and could be in danger or she has a medical condition. Louisa Delilia Kern age 14 90 lbs 4'9" long brown hair does that physical description sound familiar? The bulletin also stated she had tatoos of harts on each hip. Hummm tatoos of hearts on each hip very interesting. Didn't the tiny black thongs located next to Bri have pink harts on them? According to Americas Most Wanted another victim assaulted prior to Bri being abducted and murdered had her underwear snatched by the killer or should I call him the Panty Snatcher. Remember I stated on a previous post he was a panty snatcher and liked womens underwear and probably kept them for souvenirs. So now we have a little 14 year old missing in the same time frame same city that other girls have been abducted, sexually assaulted and murdered. We have thongs with little pink harts on them and Louisa Kern obviously likes harts. JUST AN OBSERVATION MAY NOT MEAN ANYTHING???

Posted by: Harry Location: Reno
the missing girl's name is Louisa Delilia Kern and the center for missing and exploited children's website says she is an "endangered runaway" what ever that means. I think that the RPD should check into all possabilities

Posted by: Chrissy Location: Reno
(continued) know about it because she needs to be returned home just like any other runaway. I certainly don’t feel like we as a community are being told everything and that’s probably for a reason in RPD’s defense…but we can’t help them and prepare ourselves if we don’t know the whole story and that makes it even scarier. I know this guy is reading these blogs because he has to be getting a thrill from the media attention and I want to say that these are human beings who deserve love and respect…they are daughters, sisters, granddaughters, nieces and friends. I know you have a mother and grandmother and if you have sisters, cousins and nieces…would never want them to endure what you have done to these girls. According to the media you know or have a child and what if this happened to them? This doesn’t have to continue. Karma or the PD will catch up to you.

Posted by: Chrissy Location: Reno
First of all, there is no reason why we shouldn't have blue ribbons until this a-hole is caught. Yes we have troops overseas and respect what they are doing for our country but this is a scary and angry time for our community and we need to handle what's happening here as well. With these blue ribbons we have a reminder that this poor young girl's life was taken for no reason and we need to stay collected as a community to bring her killer to justice and make our community a little safer. I can't drive by a SUV or truck without looking inside and it's always in my mind and will be until they catch this guy. Secondly it's true that there is another missing girl who is Latino but for some reason it's not being connected. My mom works at a company where a client’s mother works with the mother of this girl missing as of Feb 20 and fitting the description of this a-holes liking. We have been trying to figure out why it hasn't hit the news ourselves. If she is a runaway we should still...

if you dont like the blue ribbons dont look at them. they are not just for brianna they are a reminder that a sick sob is still on the loose and we need to find him. it is also a reminder to ALL WOMEN to be aware and cautious. i cant believe you actually complained about something so important.

In regards to asking about if anyone saw a truck or SUV parked on Sandhill - I did and I called to give my information on it. I drive that way every Thrusday, friday, Saturday and Sundays between 3:45 to 3:55am.I hope that my information was helpful for them to use and maybe they can to look at the surrounding building security cameras - because maybe he drove in an area that one the cameras captured him driving by.

For the person commenting about the blue ribbons. They are just not for Bri but for all of us. We need to catch this killer. Don't you worry about other girls and women he could kill in the future? Do you want him to get away with it for years like the BTK type killer. I don't. It has nothing to do with the war over seas nor the car accident death. This is our war in Reno right now. I work with teens and they are terrified and having nightmares. If you want ribbons for others then get out there and put them up. Action speaks louder than words and don't criticize those that are actually acting. If you want it in the news than take charge and make it happen. Be grateful people want to keep this case going until we get this guy off the streets. Also to others quit blaming the victim! Women do nothing to deserve what happened to Bri or the other women. They have done nothing wrong. Put your focus back on where it needs to be that being catching the creep.

Posted by: Nicole Location: Reno
My sister e-mailed a reporter for Reno and here is what he said.."We have been investigating this. I spoke with a family friend shortly after she disappeared. RPD believes she is a runaway, but we are still monitoring the case. She did some things that they say indicate someone who runs away. We will help all we can." So, that's that for now.

Posted by: Nicole Location: Reno
To be clear. I never said that the RPD has linked this case to Bri or the other rapes that have occurred, I was simply stating similarities that I have noticed and posted them on a website where I know people visit frequently... I think it is very possible that this girl's family does not have the resources the Denison family had to get the word out to the community. To Anonymous in Reno- Is your gym close to Meadowood Mall? Maybe the family lives around there...

SO WHEN ARE THESE BLUE RIBBONS COMING DOWN? iT'S KINDA IRRATAING THAT EVRYONE IS PUTTING UP SOME KIND OF MEMORIAL FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL YOUNG WOMAN.... BUT WE HAVE SOLDIERS THAT HAVE LEFT THIS EARTH AND THERE ARE NO MEMORIES OF THEM. DON'T GET ME WRONG THAT IS VERY TRAGIC WHAT HAPPENED TO HER. GOD BLESS HER & HER FAMILY. ANOTHER THING IS WHY DO WE THE COMMUNITY NEED TO PULL MORE MONEY TOGETHER FOR THE INVESTIGATION? I DON'T KNOW BUT IT SEEMS TO BE WEARING OUT THE WELCOME FOR ME.

To Anonymous: Reno does not have camaras at Intersections, There are two things on traffic light poles the bigger looking one is a light sensor that sees a car and will change the cycle when there are no other cars. The little ones directly aabove the light are Traffic pre-emption(sp) sensors for Emergency vehicles. The only traffic camaras are on those trailers that they put out to show you how fast your going and not all of them have camaras. TEE the new cases you might be talking about were at the St. Marys parking garage. GLEN everything I read the blood on the pillow was Briannas. And as of yesterday Reno PD and the other law agencies have no report on a missing latino girl so its kind of hard to report on something that no one has reported, So nicole get a grip. And if you don't like the blue ribbons dont look its like if you dont like whats on tv you turn the station same thing dont look at the ribbons. And shut up about 4:00am. Sorry to all who are here w/good intent.

As far as i understood, RPD have not linked the missing latino girl to the Brianna case. RPD no nothing of the case and belive it to be a runnaway.

Posted by: Tee Location: surrounding area
Can anyone give details or a timeline of who has been assulted, I am hearing rumors about new cases in a UNR garage, but when Ilook it up it refers toa story back in October, yet new blogs keep referring to a recent assalt. I also heard there was a 'peeping tom' on Kingsrow last week in the early morning hours, apparently peeping into an apartment full of college girls, yet I can't find any truth to it. Is the missing latino girl the one from Las Vegas, or is she another girl from Reno? There is a 19 yr. old missing from Vegas, I read it on the 'Briansdream' website, which is a fascinating site, sounds like every psycic who is picking up vibes is reporting their dreams and visions on this site, very cool that so many people are tuned into this. I think the police need to alert the public as much as possible so we can all help to find this guy, I would hang out at 5 AM on Kingsrow if I thought I could get a plate or an ID on the suspect. Kolo keep reporting on the case!

Posted by: Anonymous Location: Reno
KO the body was found next to a parking lot. The man probably turned off his lights and nobody would have noticed him. It was almost behind a resturant, I almost missed it from Double R if it wasn't for the BIG blue tarp. What about all the camera's at major intersections? Are they only for people who go through red lights?

Posted by: Ken Location: Reno
If there was news about Latino girl missing we would not be saying anything about it!I have seen a flyer at the gym and someone has seen in other place. So read the news like everyone, but they do not say anything about the girl.

Posted by: Anonymous Location: Reno
I was at the mall yesterday and saw flyers about the girl that went missing 2/20. She is not in the news, maybe she is a runaway. She is 15, I believe. Maybe the family is affraid to make it too public because they do not want what happened to Bri to happen to this girl. But if this guy took another girl we, the public, have a right to know! But if it is a runaway situation, then it is unfortunate, but totally different circumstances.

RE: the missing Latino girl... I just checked www.amberalert.nv.gov and it says there are no active Amber Alerts in Nevada. I would think if there really was a missing Latino girl, there would be an Amber Alert. When I first read the comments I was instantly furious but at least I had the brains to go and look for myself. Maybe that poster was old or something. Or maybe the person posting the message just wants to rile people up for no good reason. Just my two sense.

I remember reading on RGJ online or one one of the tv stations announced it, there was a girl missing a few nights before Bri's candlelight vigil. She was walking to the site by herself when she was reported missing. It was later announced she was found, lost her way or something and that was the end of that. Of course, why would a parent let there teenage daughter walk in that area by herself after this tragic event? I don't know if it was the same person but nothing was said about it in the paper the next day.

For how long we have to see those blue ribbons every where? are they for the NHP trooper or for those whe die in overseas, they were REAL HEROES, and nobody remember them. what this girl was doing at 4.00 am?

Posted by: Glenn Owen Location: Texas
Thanks CE, I like a case with a different twist. I read something about a latino girl missing one day. It seemed like she was from another town close to Reno. I would like to know more about her disappearance. We know our perp preys on small women with dark hair. Bri had long dark hair. The exchange student was oriental and had dark hair. The picture I remember about the latino girl showed her with long dark hair and attractive. It wouldn't hurt for police to compare apples and for the news media to report on this. We know our boy is mobile (has transpertation). He could change areas and go to another town. That's what I would do because it's too HOT in Reno right now. Remember our boy has some sexual issues and the URGE keeps building. The URGE can be so strong it's extremely DIFFICULT for a punk to CONTROL. No No NO my friends he's organized and mobile and he's looking for his next victim. Any missing young women small in statue with long dark hair would fit his MO. FOR BRIANNA.

I haven't heard about a Latino girl missing? I read the news daily? I'm sure if there was it would be in the news. Hey Glenn its good to see your still following this case.

Posted by: Anonymous do they have dna from the girls that were with her the night she was kidnapped? could it match the girls dna that was on the underwear that was found?

I am absolutely furious to find out that a latino girl has been missing since February 20th (exactly 1 month after Bri went missing) and it has been made more public!!! This is a very young 4'9" 90 pound girl. WHY isn't this all over the news??? I found out she was missing by eating in the Meadowood Mall food court when I just happen to glance over and see a 8" by 10" Missing person's sign.... Give me a break! Our community MUST start caring about ALL of our missing persons or these perves will never be caught. Let's all step up and start demanding more information, there is obviously a lot being kept from the general public.

i havent heard anything about a missing girl recently. i think if it was true it would be all over the news. god i hope we dont have another missing girl

Does anyone know about the latino girl?

Posted by: KO Location: Reno
What about the area she was found. Does anybody remember seeing a truck or suv that was parked on that street (Sandhill) when it was icy or any other time of the day or night throughout the month? It did snow quite a bit after her dissapearance. It seems like a vehicle would stand out parked on that street instead of the parking lot across the street. It's like a city out there with IGT employees and other businesses, maybe a reminder how cold it was at that time and how much more consious we are of things when driving in bad weather will jog someones memory if they saw something that didn't seem normal, such as being parked on that street.

There is a girl missing in Reno, that is the same as Bri.She has went missing 2/20/08.I found out when I went to the gym!So what about this GIRL????She's latino 4'4 90 lbs with dark hair.

I pray that law enforcement catches this poor excuse of a human being. I am a mother of a 14 yr old daughter and we are scared to death of this freak. I encourage every woman out there to take yourself and your daughters to self defense training classes. Always be aware of your surroundings! Parents need to arm themselves legally and keep a firearm in your home in the event this freak tries to enter into another home. We must stand together as a strong community and assit our local law enforcement with what ever they need to catch this rapist. Lets work together and with our law enforcement to catch this guy. May God keep everyone safe until the cops get him into custody. As a community we grief over the loss of such a beautiful and wonderful young woman. Our hearts grief as well for Brie's Parents and family. I can't even imagine what they must be going through and no parent should have to go through this. We need tougher laws and the punishment should fit the crime.

CY, It's my understanding the attempted break in was very close to the house Bri was abducted from. In my opinion this killer was looking for a victim to sexually assault. In my opinion it's the same person who attempted to break into the foreign exchange students house the night before who abducted Bri. Remember all these assaults and attempted break in happened within a one mile radius of each other. Obviously our killer was looking the morning Bri was aducted. He noticed the girls arrive home around 4:00 am. Strated window peeping and when Bri fell a sleep he tried the door and it was unlocked. Blitz attacked Bri putting his hand over her mouth like he did the other victims. Little Bri must have bit the crap out of him causeing him to bleed on the pillow (susp dna). He over powered Bri and abducted her. This case will be like the Johnia Berry case. It took 3 years to find her killer and match the dna. I profiled the case for crime writer Steve Huff. A Knoxville Mystery part 3.

This is not over!We need to find this guy.I hope RPD can find him soon.I know they are doing everything they can,but they need are help.Keep all eye's open for women. You never know when they will need your help.

Sooo.... anything new with this case KOLO?

Posted by: Kathleen Unfortunately for Brianna, her friends, and relatives, this tragedy could have been prevented by simply locking a door. In this day and age, you cannot trust people enough, to not take this simple precaution.

Posted by: misty Location: reno nevada
thank you to all who are trying to keep this positive. all the brianna bashing is ridiculous. so what her and her friends drank and partied who the hell didnt at that age. no matter what she did not deserve what happened to her. mo woman excuse me no person does. lets focus on the getting this son of bitch and worry less about young girls partying and drinking.

To the medium from Louisianna...can you give me a lil more details on the house you described? I work in the area where Brianna was abducted, so I have been looking for what you described. Is there a street sign on top of the stop sign. Even a few letters would be helpful. My 5yr old daughter has very pyschic tendencies and has said from the beginning that the bad man lives by where I went to highschool with his family but scarey house is by my work

Posted by: Cy Location: Reno
Was the girl who was raped in the UNR parking garage raped on the first floor? Also, was she raped on the ground somewhere in the parking garage or inside of his car? Sooooo many details are being left out, I'm sure intentionally... There are way too many clues here for him to still be out on the loose.. Give the case to the students at the Davidson Academy :)

I think DNA testing should be done on everyone, who lives! It should be call bri's LAW,to honor Brianna. If this is done know one would ever get away, for doing a grime.Or they mite getway, but at the most we would know who they are.For if this dumb a.. is a family man and just went nuts we would know who he is!!It is sad I was in the LA the time of the nightstocker. Now I here for this.Brianna,I believe will help us find him.For GOD LOVES RENO, AND all of NV! Brianna is a hero to all who live.LETS FIND HIM PEOPLE!!

The attacker had a shaved pubic hair.Maybe he's a wrestler or compete in mix martial arts competition.Somewhere by Double R and Sandhill where Briannas body was found is Gateway drive where Lion dens mix martial art academy is located .Maybe this attacker comes to Reno once a month to train.Remember all the attacks happens once in a month. He comes from behind grabbed the victim, arm choked them and then dropped them in the ground. He also wearing a jogging style pants and a tennis shoes.Just a thought ...PEACE

What a sad and tragic story. I have followed the story. The perpatrator will "get caught", they always do, it's just a matter of time. Women, should prepare and protect themselves, collectively, via support groups, buddy systems ... Think ... lock doors, communicate on cell phones when walking alone, overcommunicate with loved ones ... We should take all this energy and create a support group in honor of Brianna. I'm in !!!! Anyone else ? Start with donations, then create an awarness program .... God Bless Brianna.

To jen-o this is not the time or the place for your foul mouth comments. You need to grow up and read the comment again, with an open mind. I was just asking for a little clarity I agree with everything Doug had to say. You on the other hand need a anger management class. Good luck with that.

Unless this guy has a criminal record CODIS won't help till they catch him. The weekend is comming he only appears on weekends since the second victim said he took her to a house my guess is either he has access to a house there or he has a friend in Reno. I don'y think he lives there or someone would've found him.

Posted by: Cy Location: Reno
I hope they have police officers on bikes or whatever patrolling the UNR area at night now, that would be awesome I think... Also, how well have the police interviewed the surrounding neighbors from where Bri was taken, it seems he was very confident that the door was unlocked when he entered and I don't think he could have formed this confidence just from watching the house for one day. Obviously he wasn't initially after Bri, he was going for the foreign exch. student the night before but had no luck breaking in. How do they know it was HIM that tried to break into the foreign exch. student's house on 01/19? Also, what is the proximity of that house to that of the house Bri was taken... If anyone can answer any of these questions *cough* Glenn! That would be awesome, thanks.

The University of Nevada, Reno has been pouring money into the campus to make it a better place. We have new buildings and more parking, and a lot more students coming in each semester. The fact that these crimes have been committed so close to the campus is a scary thing. If UNR is going to spend so much money on making it a better place, they also need to spend money on making it a safer place. I am a college student, and I find this terrifying and UNR needs to be concerned more with the safety of their students and stop with their GREED in blood and gold!

I recall an arson attack on a car dealership a week or 2 back. Maybe the perp had earlier traded in a vehicle with Brianna's dna in it then torched it to destroy evidence. Seems audacious but the perp seems audacious.

Posted by: vic Location: reno
it's only a matter of time the perp gets caught thru CODIS....unfortunatley it may be too late for someone else down the road...

Posted by: victor Location: reno
it's only a matter of tiem before they catch this guy, his dna is probalby in CODIS by now and we'll get a hit soon. people like this cant' stop what they are doing and will eventually get pulled over or arrested. time is our ally right now. unfortunalte someone may lose their life in the meantime.... condolences to the family.

If you think for one minute that your group has any backing from Reno citizen you are mistaken. You will be contained and you voice of hate will not be heard. Stay away! To the murder rapist we will catch you and you will be brought to justice it only takes time. Which of you are running out of rapidly. Do the right thing and turn yourself in and face the punishment you so rightly deserve. To the people of Reno: Keep up the good work and remember to stay alert we will find him and bring hime to justice God Bless Reno.

Going by typical behavior, I am thinking this is taking a whole different turn. First it started with random pulls off the street, now it has gone to attempted B&E to an actual B&E with abduction and murder. This breaks pattern. He does have the complex that he can taunt the police and still elude them. More will be known with the next occurrence. It's horrible to say that it will happen again, but we need more evidence.

Young women in Reno and surrounding areas beware. The guy who did this to poor Brianna is now getting off on all the attention. He is now taunting police (he left a pair of underwear from an unidentified woman with Brianna's body). This guy is playing a game with the Reno police. And he will seek another woman to abduct as a pawn to continue this sick game. Women of Reno and surrounding areas: Please protect yourselves!!!

THANKFULLY THE NEXT MORNING SHE CALLED CRYING AND APOLOGIZING KNOWING SHE MADE A HORRIBLE MISTAKE. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE WHAT YOU HAVE GONE THROUGH AND WILL GO THROUGH FROM THIS POINT ON! I AM SO SORRY FOR THE OUTCOME OF THIS TRAGEDY BUT I AM SO THANKFUL THAT YOU HAVE FOUND HER AND DO NOT HAVE TO WONDER FOREVER. Hi, I am so sorry for the abduction of Brianna Denison. After this much time. I doubt that she is alive. But miracles do happen. I pray for her and her family and friends daily. God Bless You All. Do you think that the man put the pillow over her face. That's could be why no one heard her. I think he staked out the open window to the living room ahead. Waiting for the right opportunity. Or he possibly could have been in the crowd where her and her friend were dining out. And he followed them home and waited. Has any one thought of bringing in a phycic? A good one that works with police? Just a suggestion. Good luck and God Bless. I hope everything turns out fine. But if she is alive with that creep just think of the stress she might be going through. I really hope this ends well for you all. I will pray every day until I die about Brianna. In God WE trust. T.L.

I feel the abductor lives VERY VERY close to the vicinity of the abduction. I believe Brianna is still alive and being held captive. I noticed that there was a hit/run near UNR on 02/09/2008 and that person exhibits simularites of the suspect that may have abducted Bri. Please investigate that possibility. I also dont believe that the previous abductions were just due to "opportunity". This guy spotted, followed and preyed on specific girls. Please dont give up on Bri's search, she is out there somewhere and needs our help. I have an 18 year old daughter, thank you for listening.

To those people who have been complaining to the local newspapers about the way the police are investigating this disappearance. Specifically the men who feel like their rights are being violated. I would imagine if you had nothing to hide, you would have no problem with being interviewed if you even slightly fit the description. Wouldn't you want the police to do whatever it takes to find Brianna. Besides, they have DNA and need to find that particular person. If the police are a little rough about it, then it could have something to do with your cooperation of lack there of. So... if you don't have anything to hide then deal with it. The faster they can eliminate you, the faster they can move on to find the right person. I bet you complainers are not parents. One day you'll know how us parents feel about the safety of our children. Please... for the sake of finding this young lady, quit complaining!!!

to:"mother of 3 daughters and 1 son":you are a good mom, and 100% accurate with your thinking. not all tragedy can be avoided, no matter how careful we are. back in the 80's we partied and stayed out all weekend and lied to our parents. we walked or hitchiked alone, frequently, before citi-fare was around to get us to that friday night party. this is nevada, & usually our parents wouldn't give us a 10 mile drive from one valley to the next, especially if they knew where we were going. it is also cold here, if ya got drunk and tired and were miles from home, you slept on the dirty floor of whichever stead duplex you could, just to keep from freezing to death. i have a hunch that the suspect involved in these recent crimes must live near the crimes and be watching from where he lives, it is too cold outside to just lurk around all night waiting for a victim to make a mistake. blaming the crime on victim error may help us feel safer, but it is a distortion of reality.

Even if it was a chihuahua or a pitbull, a bark should have woken someone up. Or if Brianna was struggling could have woke someone up. How did the blood get on the pillow? Maybe she knew the person, or was she so messed up (drunk or on something) that she didnt think to fight back? I just think its weird that her friends were all around her, and there was blood and a dog, and nobody heard anything. I didnt know who Brianna was/is, but I am the same age as her, and about to be a parent, and just thinking about how easy that was for that guy to get her, and how many sick freaks are living here (could even be our neighbors) scares the hell out of me. I just hope (but do have some doubts) that they find Brianna alive, and get that creep in jail or killed.

tacoa: it's a shotgun idea thing , just not thinking is freezing up , if I can generate one good idea spilling every thought that pops into my head then I can work with that better than I can work with no thought at all. I really have began to feel the horrors of all other readings here and of course I just want to turn the possibilities to a favorable outcome. if I could offer a sliver of hope.I appologize for my lack of discipline in such a fragile case. Who? What? Where? When? How? I'll try to be more focused as I follow the efforts of our investigators.

I still think this guy is familiar with the area, but only in town around the 3rd week of each month. Airline pilot? Visiting faculty? Visiting student? Grad student? Trucker? If he holds true to his pattern, he might be back within the week - right around Valentine's day. Stay alert. Hopefully Bri will be brought back.

To Anonymous, Picking up a 98lb anything makes noise, puting a pillow over someones head/face - drunk or not - should've caused some kind of thrashing about, kicking with the legs, hence-noise, was the dog drunk too? Was the door left open on purpose to let this creep in? I am not trying to blame anyone for their actions, but place responsibility for their NON-actions. I too have made many stupid mistakes in my life, being drunk, high and loaded and Thank God I did'nt kill anyone and am still alive and able to walk and move about and be a member of and a pillar of society. I have a 19 yr old step daughter out there,Gabielle, who is just as beautiful as Brianna and I am terrified for her because of all the porno watching sickos out there preying on girls such as Brianna. What are we as a society going to do about protecting our kids from creeps such as this puke? Problems such as this have been created by & from the exploitation of women in pornos. Comments anyone?

Posted by: Anonymous The dog was a chihuahua for god's sake, I hardly doubt that mini bark can bother anyone sleeping or passed out! Bring Bri home, Lord touch this family with Faith & Hope! Lets quit judging people this could happen to ANYONE no one is ever safe in a world like this!!!!!

Posted by: Anonymous Location: Reno
To Mark in NV. I agree why did the dog not bark? However, I have passed out after a night of heavy drinking, I have even made the mistake of getting behind the wheel intoxacated. I am lucky I am still alive. Now I am a mom and a respected member of this community. We all have done stupid things in our time, does not mean we should pay for our mistakes for the rest of our lives. What happened to Brianna can not be blamed on any one but the perp that took her. As for the dog, lets think about this, the door was unlocked so the man was able to come in quietly, he put the pillow over her head suffocating her (blood on the pillow). I really doubt that would make a ton of noise. He then he picked up this 98lb women and quietly left with her. I was not there so I do not know why the dog did not wake anyone up, but it could very well be that the dog did not hear anything or was use to people coming in at all hours of the night.

Posted by: Truthseeker Anonymous can you tell us more about your friends husband? Also can you tell us more about those numbers? This sick rapist tends to strike once a month around the holidays or school breaks. Could he himself be on a break too (coming from out of town)? I never see this story publicized in the S.F. Chronicle or on the 10 pm news on Fox (a Bay Area news station)--our local channel 11. Why wasn't the December attack more publicized back then (in Reno), since the victim obviously gave an extensive description of him--perhaps because she was a Foreign Exchange student (instead of a beloved local)? We hardly heard about it in our local news, so the students weren't paranoid enough. If the girls were more wary, they might have been more cautious of locking doors & not getting rides from strangers. It took this unfortunate incident for it to become highly publicized and unfortunately, it happened to such a nice beautiful young person who was just living her life as a college student. My heart goes out to Brianna's family & I want to stay positive & hope she is returned to us soon.

Posted by: Anonymous Location: Santa Cruz, CA
This serial rapist/murderer might not live in Nevada at all. At any given time aren't there plenty of out-of-towners in Reno. This might be a hobby for this guy. Why would he do it in his own neighborhood where he would be tracked down. That composite sketch should be posted on Americas most Wanted. I think that's the best hope for catching this guy.

Posted by: Mark S Location: Reno, Nevada
It strikes me funny that eventhough the dog was in a locked room with "K.T.Hunter", why did'nt the dog bark? Drunk, passed out or no, SOMEBODY in the house should have heard the dog barking, UNLESS it was being kept quiet or UNLESS the scent of the person(s) that did this to Brianna was and is familiar to the dog. No scent trail tells me that she was carried off. I hope and pray that the police and the FBI catch the person or persons responsible. Also, why were everybodies doors locked BUT THE FRONT DOOR????? God please let Brianna be found alive and healthy, give the law special eyes in which to see and find her, in Jesus' name, Amen.

After reading some of these comments you see some genuine thoughtful people and on others i am amazed at how cruel others are. I lost my only child in a car accident in june, and there are unanswered questions surrounding her death. Yes it was alcohol related, but that in no way means she deserved it. Or that she was a bad person. So quit casting stones at glass houses, because there is not one of you who has not made a mistake or a bad judgement call. Unfortunatly it cost my daughter her life and I pray to God the outcome is not so grim for Brianna. She in no way deserved this. So for you who are being pompas and arrogant and casting stones, I pray to God you do not lose a child because it is hell111 Especially when you lose them to a circumstance of a bad judgement call. To Briannas Family hang in there I will give you all the prayers and support you need during this difficult time. I pray your outcome was better than mine. Heartbroken Mom

I am so sick of hearing about Brianna. If it wasn't a pretty white girl this would not be in the news everyday. We all know the likely hood of her being alive is nil. If it is the same rapist connected to the other cases then he has probably learned like all rapist who turn killers that he will get caught by leaving the victim alive.

Does anyone know why the police and coroner were by the bonanza yesterday? I am praying they did not find Brianna there. Does the police have any suspects? I called the tip line, my friend's husband matches the discription, and nobody called me back. I hope that was because they have someone in mind. Someone knows something, if this guy has a wife or girlfriend with a child, COME forword! You are better then that, do not stay with someone who is capible of this. What kind of father is that for your child. I could not live with my husband if I suspected him of this. Time to open your eyes and turn him in. Please get this man off our streets, I have daughters and could not even imagine what the Denison family is going through. Do the right thing! Be a hero to our children.

RE: going home I moved here a year ago also from Orange County, CA; Mission Viejo, CA to be exact...It has been voted the safest city in America. I would take Reno any day over MV. Maybe the reason this case is such a big deal is because we are a close community. Reno is a beautiful place with beautiful genuine people. I have met so many wonderful people here in this short time. Maybe you should stop being so frightened and live your life. Brianna was living her life and was taken, This could have happened anywhere in the world. The media is making a big deal of this because this doesn't happen in our community. Look how many people are praying and volunteering in this case. Good Job Reno, this is why I choose to live here! You get a real sence of what community means. Brianna I am praying for you and your family!

This scares the life out of me. Forget the unlocked door, forget they were out drinking and having fun while their friend was in town, remember some sick person did something to this girl, without her consent. I have lived in this town for only a year and have seen and met many sick people. I think it is very possible that some "sick" person was walking in the area, for whatever reason, saw the light on, saw the girl sleeping feet away, tried the door, took the opportunity. She was in the wrong place, wrong time. If it wasn't her, someone else, and probably has done this before. NV is the perfect place to do something like this and get away with it. WIDE OPEN SPACES! My husband works nights and I have a 13 yr old daughter. This is why I have not let her out of my site for the last year, and the reason I cant sleep at night. 100 predators in such a small area. We live out in the middle of nowhere and we have over 20 sex offenders in our area! Any sick person could have done this. Pray

One Doug what is your problem. You were all over the place. One thought to another. You are right the police do need to ask the friends what they would do I got that point but the north to south east to west. Someone can do anything they want to with a little determination can find a way to do anything they want to.

I wonder if there is in Reno near where Brianna was maybe even on the same street at the end of a street a stop sign with a tree in the yard right there so when you see the stop sign you see the edge of the tree limbs? Maybe after turning right from somewhere....And I wonder if there is a house in the middle of the rectangle that’s white with wood panel in a room oddly enough kind of a bare yard . Does anyone know? Also I think they could make the composite drawing better does Brianna have a friend that has three colors of hair? I want her to be the women in my dream who is still alive because if she is she is alive and they may find her alive just in the nick of time....if shes not,,,

Posted by: A Medium Location: Louisiana
Dylan I told you all that wasn’t Brianna I think the body parts came from that poor women who was raped with something and tortured to death and had a heart attack or something from the trauma and I think there was more than one sicko involved in that and she wasn’t or wont be the only one I think the killers were somehow connected to the pig farmer because he wasn’t the only one if I ever hated a human being it would be the human beings like the pig farmer. All those women just because there not polished enough.

My take that this girls only hope is her survival instincts, any conversations with her friends that may give clues to what they would do if ever confronted with a situation like this, what would they do to alert someone to where they are or when to get away , this is when Brianna needs to seek an opportunity to get released from her abductor, what direction did her abductor go? the weather moves from west to east , into or away from, what mode of transport is least conspicuous, basics, think like a freak to catch a freak. don't become the freak. east or south , or still right here, north or west is bad weather chains required, Gas, reliability of transportation, exposure, the public is this guys worst enemy, it was too easy for him , get free Brianna 911 is waiting for your call, many public phones have been removed, Please God , give this person the chance she so deserves to be with us once again. We the Public have a responsibility to catch and contain these freaks.Mathew 5:3-11

An autopsy on the female victim in Pennsylvania that wrapped up Wednesday afternoon gave investigators a better description of the victim. They said she was a heavyset, white female, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, with dark-colored hair and some gray mixed in. Doesn't sound like Denison so don't give up hope that she is alive.

It has been over two weeks since Brianna was abducted. It is important that we as a community keep Brianna in the news media and continue the effort to bring her home safe. This tragedy could happen to any of us at any time. Please help by volunteering and keeping Brianna in your prayers. If this were to happen to someone you love I'm sure you would be pleading for help. You can go to www.briannadenison.com to get details about how you can help. Thank you

I woke up after that and had to check if someone found here dead. I believed in my heart and mind that this had to be about her and I caught a glimpse of something. But who is this Terry person? If you have any thoughts, comment me at fortbebe@gmail.com I'm not speculating anything. I am very in tune with myself and wonder if anyone else had anything near the same?

I was just reading over some of the comments about messages in dreams. I too had a dream last Monday or Tuesday about a gal who was murdered. In it I was living through this person, I remember reading the obituary in my dream and the saw the name "Brianna" (last name didn't recog.) and thought, "this isn't me." I was in a school setting of some sort and another name in the obits was a guy named Terry. A man turned and looked at me and said, "What she is still doing here?" Instantly this loud sound came from what felt like the heveans or hell, and when I heard it the first time I felt I had heard it before. I was so scared. Immediately after the first one, the loud double clang happened again a few seconds later. That was when all my surroundings disappeared like a curtain image from the matrix, except an off white color took over. I was alone in mental thought, but no physical body. The people around me gone. see next post

This is to Debbie. The circumstance involving the boy disappearances was nothing like Ms. Denison. There is all kind of people out there that will take advantage of a situation such as the disappearances of Ms. Denison. I doubt the police officer gave up looking for this child, the 14 year old. Please before you judge our hard working police officer please use the fact of case instead of you opinion.

The boy has been found.

RPD: have u considered taking dna samples from UNR men fitting description? i know its costly but a life is worth it.

Posted by: Searcher Location: Reno NV
The search for the 14 year old was cancelled because, after hours of searching RSR park, we got a credible eyewitness report that he was with friends elsewhere. We would never stop looking if we believed he was still lost. He was located safely the following morning. We have looked for Brianna and followed every credible lead since the beginning, and as a member of Washoe County's Search & Rescue program, I assure you we all take all missing kids cases very, very personally. Most of the searchers (every one volunteers, incidentally) are parents.

Posted by: Anonymous Location: reno
That boy was found the following day, he's fine, safe, etc... Maybe they didn't pursue it more because blood wasn't found at the scence, and maybe because it wasn't suspicious. He left on his own feel will.

Please help this family find Bri. I volunteered today and anyone that has a heart should do the same. If the kidnapper is watching, tell us where she is so there can be some "closure" for this family. You are a sick individual that needs help and there are plenty of services available to you. Don't make innocent girls pay for your problems! Anyone w/any info, please come forward. You cannot live with this on your conscious the rest of your life. There are total strangers from all walks of life and all ages looking for Brianna. Do some good, turn yourself in or give her up!

Because of the times that these attacks ocurred, I would be looking for a swing shift person. In addition to checking vehicles in work parking lots during swing shift hours, I would be calling employers to ask if any employees have been absent for the past two weeks. Another possibility would be newspaper bulk delivery people.

Posted by: Darah Location: Houston, Texas
To Debbie in Reno: I think maybe you should contact godaddy and see if they too, will host a free website for the return on the missing boy. Also, see if you can drum up new interest for all missing people, man, woman, child, grandparent, everyone matters in this life. Please try not to get frustrated and just stay motivated. If we learn anything from this, all missing persons should be showered all over the news from now on. I will pray for your boy's and Bri's safe return.

A combo copycat doing his zodiac/bundy/carpenter killer/night stalker pic of the month pin up girl. Not very original and not a Saturday night T-shirt. A small man with a limp small biscuit that got turned down by the prom queen, sore and resentful.A detail oriented planner trying to make up for his lack of size with his sexual powerplay, though he must need Viagra. A cat or shark with a route or communications specialist that has opportunity to know the telephony of the hood at UNR. A spending pocketbook for gas and expenses, and a wife with a schedule. A baby, maybe a grandbaby. A timely bill payer, he hates attention. A hung up mr normal trying to keep eyes and thoughts from him, an addict. when I heard she was missing and saw her picture I told people a feared she was abducted by a sexual predator a white male with brown hair possibly a mechanic who goes bowling a quirky guy who had a temper but could act like a nice guy, I said he had a live in girlfriend or wife before the baby shoe information ever came out on the news, So while I appreciate your concern I truly do I wish you would appreciate the fact that I am trying very hard to help save Briannas life and stop that sick bastard from every hurting anyone else!!!And it would not be the first time by a long shot that I have done that.

Anonymous it maybe difficult for you to understand but many people sense biblical times have had dreams and visions of events that occurred else where sometimes even in a different time, I saw Sept 11 in my dreams before it happened, As well as other terrorist attacks around the world, I have also had dreams about several different serial killers before they were on the news I knew inside information because I saw it in my dreams, usually threw the eyes of the victim I know for a fact my dreams can help save lives. because they have before but not by staying in my head, but by my warning people of the danger I can understand your being upset though it is a very difficult situation, I want Briannas family to have hope, Because if she is the girl in my dream who was held captive that dream came before the other but if she is the same girl there is very much still hope also I first told people about my dream about the kidnaped girl before I ever saw Briannas case on the news, Infact

A Medium was not trying to tell us about some random Dream. She believes that she has an ability to see some reality in these "dreams" she is a MEDIUM...I have heard that the family themselves have explored "alternative" routes..they would like to hear anything that may help them find Brianna. She was offering HELP..There is a detective on these Blogs Glenn Owen giving his imput that is far more graphic and morbid. He also is trying to help. Is there anything that anyone could say that is a tip that would not be "morbid" this is a heinous act that is not easily spoke about with out some morbid thought involved. Whats morbid is that there is some sicko out there with a beautiful girl. Everyone with tips that they may feel are beneficial to getting her back be it dreams, visions, investigative research or what have you, put it out there.... even the smallest thing may help. I know RPD is reading these blogs and something said may HELP.

Posted by: Anonymous Debbie, I saw very little coverage on this young boy...where is he from in Reno? What I saw said he ran away, and was drinking in a park.... I sure hope he is somewhere safe, since they're not even looking!!!:(

Those dreams could end up saving her..anything helps. You might not want to hear it, but it could very well be the truth. This is the opinion section. If you don't like it than don't read them. And I don't think she/he was being disrespectful, I think they were just trying to give us another scenario.

Posted by: Anonymous please people post your disturbing dreams elsewhere!!! Not only are you being morbid, your being highly disrepectful to this family!!!!!

why is a search for a 19 year old adult, more important than a 14 year old young boy? We have a 14 year old young boy missing and the search is called off after, what 12 hours?, while we are looking for an adult that has become missing. Not enough photos of the young boy? Don't want want to belittle the disappearance of the young woman, but when you have a young boy become missing and the search is called off after a night????????????????? So, we will not give up for a disappearance of Ms.Dension, but it is okay to give up on a young boy after a night. Why ,because he may have had a drink or two, according to his friend?

Posted by: Dave Me and my family pray for her safe return (soon)

Brandy If you have ever seen the show medium my dreams are very much like that sometimes there right on target other times there symbolic and feel like guessing games,But the young lady who was held captive was so small I wasnt sure if she was an adult or a teenager ,In the dream she was held under a house like in a cellar or basement the house was wood with white paint. I had seen the kidnapper in another dream befor where he was in a white van with friends they picked up a teenage black girl who thought this man was nice . The women in the house started to or tried to call 911 but he came in just then so I dont know if she actually got threw to 911 but she tried.

Posted by: Louisiana Brandy I had dreams the girl in my dreams looks like Brianna though I cant be a hundred percent certain,It does look like her and the mans shirt a red shirt blue collar something written on the upper left pocket looks like a possible bowling league uniform to me.I had dreams about a girl who was help captive beneath the ground somewhere,And I had dreams about a girl,Im sure its a differant girl but a girl who was tortured to death basically and I think she was cut up,And there was more than one involved in her murder. In my dream about the abuducted girl there ws only one a man who had raped befor but never murdered and was working up to murdering the girl who maybe Brianna. This man had a live in girl friend or wife that didnt know what was going on she knew he had anger problems that he could supress and seem really nice, she knew he could be really quirky but she didnt know he was a sexual preditor, The young women in my dream was small brunette looked like Brianna she was so small.

I have a question for A Medium in Louisiana; Why a bowling alley? Did you have a vision?

Posted by: CP Location: Reno
Body parts from an unidentified woman have turned ip along I-80 (in Pennsylvania). Reno Police Dept should certainly take a look. http://www.cnn.com/2008/CRIME/01/30/body.parts.ap/index.html

Posted by: AMedium Location: Louisiana
My take on this is that you should keep an eye on bowling alleys in the area. And the perp has a live in girlfriend or wife,And Brianna may still be alive underground. But she may not have had food and water so time is running out.

This message is to DEE. Who give you the right to say what is fair and what is not fair. Grant it that there are a lot of children missing. But we are a small community and in general regards everyone knows everyone. You should very upset that this crazy predator is in our neighborhood. You never know he might live right next door to you. This behavior has to stop. We need to come together and fight for what is right. And the fact of the matter is she is still someone child and deserve to be home with the people who love her.

I first would like to say to bri's family....be strong...keep faith...many many folks are praying for Bri's safe return. As far as you folks out there with all the negative comments and judging... SHAME ON YOU. How dare you ! God forbid this would happen to one of your children or family member. Put yourself in this family's postion...HURTS DONT IT ?? Dont you realize that this family reads these comments ? Dont you think they are suffering enough already ?? Shame !! Shame !! No more Judging or negative comments....we all need to Pray for brianna and for her family...please lets all think about what this family is going through and help by posting positive comments and lots of Prayer !!

Posted by: mom Stop judging Brianna is will not help bring her back safely. How many of you went and drank with your friends when you were young (or old) and now look back at some of the un-safe situations that could of arose and say.. that was so stupid and I'm lucky nothing bad happened. Age is wisdom and wisdom is age. Give her some respect, she is a victim here, and help bring her home safely. Take more time trying to help figure out where she is instead of blaming her for being a young girl in college having fun with her friends. I'm a mother of 3 daughters and 1 son, and I pray she returns home safely where she belongs. My heart goes out to her and her family, you are in my thoughts and prayers every minute.

Posted by: Leanne Location: Reno
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Bri. I only hope and pray for the best! I live just two blocks from the home she was taken from, and walked the paths of the other incidents. It seems so surreal.

Posted by: shirley I think it must be a neighbor that saw them come home that night or morning, maybe a night shift worker.

WOW! WHAT'S THE MATTER WITH THE WORLD TODAY?! WE HAVE TO MANY SICK TWISTED MINDS OUT THERE THAT THRIVE ON COMMITTING THIS TYPE OF CRIME AND THEN TO MANY PEOPLE THAT JUST WANT TO POINT OUT WHAT EVERYBODY DID THAT WAS WRONG OR STUPID OR UNACCEPTABLE. THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS THAT WE HAVE TO WORRY 24-7 ABOUT THIS HAPPENING IS JUST WRONG AND SADDENING! I WATCH THE NEWS AND THINK GEEZ SHE SHOULD'VE KNOWN TO LOCK THE DOOR, BUT IF HE REALLY WANTED TO GET HER HE WAS GOING TO GET HER. THEN I THINK I TAUGHT MY DAUGHTER TO ALWAYS BE AWARE OF YOUR SURRONDINGS AND NEVER LET YOUR GUARD DOWN, BUT THEN I THINK EVEN I LET MY GUARD DOWN AND FORGET THE WORLD IS THE WAY IT IS. IT'S JUST TO BAD THAT WE AS PARENTS HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THIS HAPPENING AND THAT OUR CHILDREN HAVE TO LEARN THIS WAY THAT THE WORLD IS A CRUEL PLACE! I HOPE AND PRAY THAT BRI IS FOUND ALIVE AND AS WELL AS SHE CAN BE. AS FOR EVERYONE ELSE, DON'T JUDGE, IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE. STAY STRONG BRI'S FAMILY

While I agree the front door should of been locked, let the girls be on the partying. They are in college and thats what they do, its been that way for decades people, or have you forgotten your college day's. The part about how she went missing is history and cannot be changed, and I so agree with the one who said we need to focus on the now and find her and bring her home. Thats all thats important right now. Im very sure with this happening again, that the girls in Reno are learning from this and are very aware. I believe they were stalked and the perp knew what condition they were in upon leaving the casino. I also believe the perp knows the area very well. Also, I feel the girls know this person or at least has met him/her.

Posted by: Cory Location: Omaha, NE
Hannah from Reno, when you say, "this is, however, a reality check for many college girls and there should be precautioins taken in the future", you competely convey the only point I am trying to make. All I am saying is that young women everywhere, if they are engaging in this sort of high-risk behavior, need to bee extra cautious and extra aware of their surroundings. It is not my intent to gossip or spread rumors, but to point out the high-risk behavior that these young ladies engaged in the night Brianna was abducted. Not to blame anyone but as an example of the high-risk behavior I am referring to. Brianna's abduction is a horrible tragedy. But I believe it is important that young women everywhere learn from it what could have been done differently, that night, that might have prevented the abduction in the first place. Dont you?

The topic of this blog is "What's Your Take Surrounding the Disappearance of Brianna Denison? So, if someone thinks that KT or someone else knows more than they're saying then so be it. There is never a perfect crime and at the end of the day there is always someone that knows the missing piece. I don't know any more than what the media has put out which is usually somewhat twisted anyhow so I will not place blame. However, I do have to question why Bri was left out on the sofa by herself when her two other friends were behind a locked door. I have teenage daughters and they ALWAYS sleep in the same room or bed when they have sleepovers. And I know the man that drove the other friend home was cleared but I find it a bit too coincindental that Bri disappeared the same night. I know they let him go because he offered to give a blood sample and take a lie detector...but that doesn't do it for me. He could have came back that morning with an accomplice. Does anyone else find that weird?

Posted by: TAYLAR Location: Reno, NV
Brianna and her family are in my prayers, and on my mind constantly. I pray for a miracle to take place. I just want to give the family and her friends a big hug, and wish I could do something for them, but all I can do is pray for them.

Posted by: HANNAH Location: RENO,NV
This is directed to Cory from Omaha. Clearly you are not from Reno and don't know this girl or her friends. It is ridiculous to be putting blame on KT. It is not her fault that an estranged, horrible man took Bri that night. College girls party, it shouldn't be of any surprise to you. This is however a reality check for many college girls and there should be precautions taken int he future. However I think it was rude of you to come on here and make that comment. Our hopes and prayers should be with Bri's family right now, hoping that they find Brianna soon. I attended both events recently and have been handing out flyers everywhere I can. We all need to do our part in the community and help bring bri home. The situation is unfortunate but we will make it through this. Cory, stop gossiping and listening to rumors and being negative. It's rude. We love you Bri and we won't stop searching for you!

Posted by: TACOA Location: RENO
I will continue to keep Brianna Denison and her family in my prays. This is so disappointing that she has not been found yet. If anyone knows anything please contact someone. This comment is to the person that toke her "Please remember that she is loved by an alot of people and not matter what you can still do the right thing and let her come home. Remember she will always be someone daughter, sister and friend. Let her come home it never to let to do the right thing.

I hope the police keep a close eye on the friends, they know more than they are saying. And they don't seem all that broke up about their friend being missing. Something is just not right here.

Posted by: Cory Location: Omaha, NE
Anonymous, I believe it is extremely important to look at what steps could have been taken the night Bri was abducted that could have possibly prevented the abduction. Why is that important? So that, if there are other young ladies out there who are engaging in this same sort of high-risk behavior (and we both know there are) they can learn from this terrible event. Hopefully pointing out that the door should have been locked and that these young ladies were drunk will make some other young lady who is out drinking stop and think. Maybe she will say to herself, "Gee, I better not get too drunk tonight as it might impair my judgement" and when she gets home, maybe she will make extra sure all of her doors are locked. All because of this horrible tragedy. These blogs that point out what mistakes were made and what could have been done better are not an effort to judge or condemn anyone. They are more to alert other young ladies of pitfalls they should be wary of.

Posted by: Anonymous I dont' think this is the place to be putting blame on anyone. It doesnt matter that her friend took a ride home although she shouldnt have or that the door was unlocked, all that matters now is that bri is brought home safe and that anybody who knows anything do the rite thing and come forward. The rest is irrelevant, no one can change any of that so it shouldn't really matter nor is the gossip or rumors of her friends. Who are we to judge what they do is there buisness, all anyone needs to be concerned about is spreading the word and helping bring the girl home. Keeping the faith hope and prayers for her family. People these days are too concerned about the small things like that they were party girls. Who cares its not like anybody thought this would happen so show some respect to her family and friends and quit with the negative bull shy!

Posted by: Dre Location: California
Is it possible Brianna was smashed also and thus a reason why door was left unlocked? Such a beautiful young woman. We must take precautions in today's world. Let us all pray for Brianna's safe return.

Posted by: Cory Location: Omaha, NE
L K Hunter,as to why the dog did not bark, it might not be such a mystery, after all. I was watching a reporter on television who had spoken to some students at UNR who know KT Hunter. The reporter said that the students know her as quite the drinker. The reporter also said that the students told him that KT Hunter had been drinking heavily the night Brianna was abducted. I believe the dog very well may have barked the night Brianna went missing. But I don't believe KT Hunter was in any condition to hear the dog because she was passed-out drunk. That's what I believe.

Bri, come home soon

Posted by: Paul Location: Texas
I have a daughter a few years older than Brianna, so my hear sinks when I hear this sort of stuff. The world has taken such a negative turn in many areas. Everyone, and especially young women, must be careful at all times and know your surroundings. The days of unlocked doors has gone away and may never return. We will pray a great miracle occurs for the family of Brianna and she is found what ever the case.

Posted by: Robbie Location: Reno
I want to know why this story is not on GMA national media is an amazing thing and could really help instead of all the stories of celebrity death and old cases there should be at least a brief mention of this girls story..Lets take a break from the past and the unnecessary to honor a story with the possibilty of hope...

As Sherlock Holms (Sir Arthur Conan Doyle character) said the curious thing is the dog. Why didn't the dog alert. Even in a locked room the dog should hsve reacted.

Posted by: Erin Location: Reno
There are people leaving such negative comments here. This is not the place for that. We need hopes and prayers and information. None of this, "she was this" "her friend did that" To point fingers now is mean and useless. Brianna is a victim and we should pray for her safe return. Write your negativity elsewhere! To put blame on someone else is just a way of thinking it can't happen to you.

This is very sad and as a seasoned detective in the NYPD, will not have a happy ending. By the reports I have read, it appears her assailant subdued her where she slept by pressing her face and mouth into the pillow causing the mouth/nose to bleed and leaving behind the mixture of blood, saliva and mucus on the pillow. She then was either unconcious or restrained and bound without making significant enough noise to awaken her friends or their dog. Sometimes perps like this take "souveniers" from the victim which might explain the missing stuffed animal. In rare cases the perp will let his victim go after using them for a period of time but I can count those on one hand. I pray that she is one of the very lucky but 25 years in this leaves me with little hope. Maybe our young women can learn something from this horrible tragedy, our society has predators that are watching for opportunities. They are no less skilled than are professional hunters. You have got to be cautious at all times.

This was lifted from the Foxnews website: RENO, Nev. — Police searching for a missing college student said Thursday they plan to interview about 100 registered sex offenders who live within a mile of the home where she vanished five days ago. 100 sex-offenders residing within a mile radius of where Brianna slept. And the glass door was left unlocked all night long. Baffling.

Here is a post from Facebook on the FIND BRI Wall, if anyone out there finds this helpful: Jason Dorfman (Santa Barbara City) wrote at 6:14pm yesterday ATTENTION!: I was with Bri Saturday night right before she went missing. The last time i saw her was around 3am when she came with a guy to my hotel room at the sands to pick up her sweater that she left in my room earlier in the night. We did not think anything of it at the time and he did not say a word to us. He was about 5'7, white, with longish brown hair. I assumed it was one of her friends from reno and they did not appear romantically involved with each other. I spoke with the police already so hopefully they can find them walking out on the casino cameras. She went missing at 4 so it may be possible that this guy came into K.T's with her, or came back shortly after. If anyone can fill in the missing pieces contact the police! What do you guys think? Always lock your door. Front door, back door, car door, etc. Reno is a big city, with big city crime, in spite of the 'biggest little city' marquee. A sentiment from a long time ago that no longer applies to Reno. Also -- if you are assaulted and your attacker wants you to leave with them, you must fight back to prevent this -- your chances of survival are much higher if you stay put than if you leave with them. Miss Denison didn't, or couldn't, raise hell during her abduction. Scream, yell, fight, anything to scare off the attacker. Fight for your life! Rape or other serious bodily injury may result, but you may live to see another day. If you leave with your attacker, then you enter their 'comfort zone' such that they can deal with you on their terms. When you leave with them, they aren't taking you to a party ... I'm sorry for Brianna and her family and I earnestly hope she is found alive and that the person responsible is found and brought to justice.

Brianna's friend felt the need to sleep in a locked bedroom with her dog at night. Why not take the most obvious precaution and lock the front door? Why leave her friend out in another unsecured area? Sorry, my friends would be in there sleeping with me, whether it was crowded or not!

This goes out to whomever has Brianna. As you can see, she has family and friends that love her very much. And now she has a community and nation worried about what you have done or are doing to her. This girl has a chance for a life of hope and dreams and love. Somewhere along the line you lost that. I am sorry for the pain you have suffered that would push you to a point of taking a person against their will. There is help available. There are people who care about you as a human being. People who you may not even know. The first step to having peace in your life is to do what is right and let her family have her back. This is a wonderful family and they do not deserve the horrid torture you are putting them through, and neither does Brianna. As a mother and lifelong friend, I beg of you to set us all, including yourself free of this nightmare.

This is so scarey. Not to long ago we had that rape up there near the colleage and now this girl Brianna is missing from same area. I sure hope this is not linked and those girls are in danger.

I do not think it's fair to have the casinos be putting up pictures of this girl when so many children from Reno come up missing and nobody does anything like that for those children.

I find it very interesting that in 7 out of 23 pictures, this "innocent" young girl is holding a drink. This is so typical of the girls I see all over the country. College is touted as a place to get an education, but they neglect to say at which bar you will earn your degree. Yes this is a tragedy, but it seems that this behavior is just putting these kids in the wrong place at the wrong time. And it's not just Reno, or Nevada, or the West Coast, this is EVERYWHERE THERE IS A CAMPUS. I am a little curious as to the involvement by her boyfriend, who she had just broken up with and "happened" to be in town that night...

I believe that the man that gave the roommate a ride home is the kidnapper/murderer. First, the roommate should be laden with guilt as she was stupid enough to ask for and accept a ride from an older complete stranger. She led him to her home and obviously left the door unlocked according to the interview of her and the other frient on TV. How stupid is a young lady who leads a complete stranger to her home in this day and age? God bless Brianna who unknowingly stayed with an idiot.

I agree it is very dangerous to leave your door unlocked especially at night, but I think even if the door was locked the person would have managed to get inside anyway. If the person saw Brianna sleeping on the couch through the glass door/windows I don't think a locked door would have stopped the intruder from breaking in some other way. It seems suspicious that a person would try and walk right through the front door in the middle of the night. Why would the intruder head straight for the door automatically assuming it would be unlocked? Maybe someone had been watching the house and planning the attack, or perhaps it was someone who knows KT (or knows one of the other roomates living in the house) who knew the doors weren't often locked. Hopefully Brianna will be found soon, I will be praying for Brianna and her family.

This girl is dead. Whoever did this has done this before. He's got his technique down packed. I doubt they will ever find her. This guy was probably out just looking for a vulnerable young woman to take advantage of. Unfortunately, young women who are vulnerable to abduction on a Friday or Saturday night are all too plentiful, in this country. A pretty girl sleeping near an unlocked glass door? This guy probably thought it was his birthday, or something, with poor Brianna as his gift for the taking. It was just too easy.

To put any blame on the friend is absolutely shameful. This is just a tragedy that can be used to teach our youth to protect themselves. I pray for her safe return.

Young women need to be more careful today. Having lived in a college town for years though there is a sense of community that folks are just not ready to give up by being really cautious or guarded. We live in a violent society and necessary safeguards need to be utilized at all times unfortunately. I think because we live in the age of instant gratification, especially through cell phones and gadgets, we have become too complacent about personal safety. I hope that she is found safe and unharmed but more often than not, this will not be the case.

What a pity. I would imagine that by now, it is too late, sadly. Why on earth didn't they lock the door? I think that kids are way too protected anymore, no one wants to scare them, so consequently they protect them at all cost, and this is what happens. Tell your kids the truth, that there are very bad people out in the world that are all too willing to take advantage of them. LOCK YOUR DOORS FOR PETE'S SAKE.

Posted by: Anonymous This is very sad, and I pray for the sake of her friend Ms. Hunter is telling the truth...How many 19yr old girls hang out with 45yr old men? How did she know him, and if he is so harmless why hasn't he come forward... You've got to be cautious who you may "think" you know! Please send prayers up for this family!

Another beautiful young girl gone! I bet I have profiled a hundred of these cases and their all the same sex crime. Briana and her boy friend just broke up. Reno has a man sexually assaulting young girls near the college but his MO is different, both victims were walking when assaulted. The 45 year old man who gave one of the girls a ride from the Sands is my person of interest. I hope and pray Brianna can be found a live but odds are against her. Most likely her remains will be found 10 to 20 miles from the abduction site in a remote area.

This is truly a tragedy but it could have been prevented. She was sleeping on a couch inches away from an unlocked, glass front door. Anyone looking inside could have seen her. -K.T. Hunter, 19, a UNR student who rents the home on MacKay Court with another roommate, had been with Denison that night. When they arrived home, Hunter said she went to sleep in her locked bedroom with her dog. Denison was sleeping on the couch outside her door. Had they just locked the door, had her "friend" left her bedroom door open so that the dog could hear an intruder, maybe this whole thing could have been prevented. Women have to be more cautious, these days.
