I am an animal lover. My girlfriend and I have two cats, two hermit crabs, and now two geckos. So here are our two new lizards. They are African fat tailed geckos. The are pretty tame. They are nocturnal so they dont come out of their hiding places much, especially when the lights are on. When I do take them out of their cage they are very chill. They don't bite, they don't freak out and they don't move very fast. They seem curious, always checking out their surrondings whether it by my lap, or a new rock in their cage. So far they have not pooped on me. I have read that they can move fast when they are startled, but I guess that hasn't happened yet, because they are always very slow. As you can see the cats pay almost no attention to them. The cat in the picture is named Cream Cheese, he is from the streets of Rockford IL and he has a brother named Hogan that was born in the streets of Santiago Chile. Both cats are much more interested in the crickets that are fed to the geckos than the geckos themselves. Honestly, I'm not really into the "weatherman" pet names...like stormy the cat or thunder the dog. So you can suggest one if you want, but I probably wont end up using it. I am just looking for ideas. Oh yeah, they are both girls. In the picture at the top you can't really see why they are called "fat tailed" geckos. Their tails are so fat that it often takes a second or third look to tell which end is their head and which is their tail. Their tails are kind of ugly...but ugly in a cool way I think.
