There's no denying that Brianna Denison's disappearance has gotten considerably more press coverage than other missing persons cases, particularly  with national networks.

I'm curious what you, the viewer has to say about this. Do you think this case is getting special treatment? And if so, why?

As a mother of a daughter who died under very mysterious circumstances, I do applaud the Dennison's for doing what they could with the resources they have to get done what needs to be done. n a way it is part of the healing process. Sad to say you r resources do have something to do with it. My daughter died in small town nevada. The truth is being covered up by the good old boys. Protecting their own. I have contacted this station both of the other local tv stations, the news paper. Every city, county, and state agency and even went to our congressmen and senators in Washington. Sad to say either I was ignored or told we know those things are going on but we cant do anything. So my question is... my beautiful 18 year old daughter who I buried 20 days after her graduation does not matter why? I have been working every spare min doing the same as the Dennison family, but no one I have found in the state o Nevada cares. Why is that?

Regardless of her race, age, or size, her family is doing everything possible to find her. There are signes all over the city. I think that much of the influence to keep her story alive is due to the diligence of her family. I give them nothing but credit for keeping her story out there. The longer they keep her visible in everyone's hearts and minds, the more of a change they will find her. This coming from a pretty white girl: anyone who says the publicity is because of her looks is heartless and ignorant.

It is because Brianna is a pretty, white girl. If it were the child of an undocumented farm worker, we would never hear of it.

I think that the main reason this case has gotten so much publicity and media coverage is that the family has intentionally done this in order to find Brianna. I applaud them for that. I wish that all missing persons could get this much coverage. I don't think it matters the reason why she gets the coverage. The fact is she is missing and a horrible crime has been committed! Her family wants to know what happened to her. They deserve that! In regards to the second post made by Lindsey, I feel that it is heartless to blame Brianna for what happened. It might not have been the wisest choice for her to sleep in front of a window with the door unlocked, but we have all made unwise decisions. This fact does not change what happened to her and the need to find her and the sick maniac that did this to her. May the Lord comfort the family in their time of need.

I believe the reason the media is following this case so closely is because of how this crime was committed. If a less attractive women or man had been ripped from thier bed he/she slept on in the middle of the night they to would be in the news also. I guess the family does have some say, if they wanted to keep things quiet they would just refuse to talk to the media. The fact that a complete stranger walked into a house and grabbed a young women without any witnesses is rare. The media is telling the community to be aware. They are asking for our help. Yes, Brianna is a beautiful young women, but I believe that this story would have the same coverage even if she wasn't.

I run the www.MySpace.com/helpfindBrianna. I started it because I'm part of the community and I felt more could of been done right after her dissapearance. People always say "Gee, I hope someone does something about it" but I knew I just had to help out in different ways. As far as other cases, I don't know, I never been around close to something like this before. This hit close to home so I'm rallying up as many people as I can to help find her. It's working. We won't stop until we find her and the perpetrator is brough to justice.

According to the FBI, Nevada has no statewide policy on missing person cases. The kind of treatment you get can depend on how busy the agency is when you report a missing person. The lack of a formal policy leaves the agency involved open to charges of favoritism. I'd like to see some kind of policy developed so we have some kind of guarantee of a minimum level of investigation for each report.

I think that the coverage was partly due to the exceptionally good looks of this young lady, but also her family has a lot to do with the coverage. It is amazing what happens when people who love someone come together, against all odds, and bring a community together to save their loved one. I am not good with my words, but I do hope that there is peace brought to this family. I wish you all luck and success in bringing her home. God be with you all!

The more information the news reaches, hopefully the better chance at finding Brianna. Plus she's young, a college student, disappearing from an off campus apt.- makes young vulnerable girls more aware that a psycho is out there running around! Hope they find Brianna soon and catch the creep soon. My prayers are with Brianna, her family and friends.

Wow, that second comment about her making a bad decission and she should of know better, let me tell you something. The fact that she came home from a party at 4 a.m. and decided to sleep on a couch that had a large glass window, was not a bad choice, simply she was tired it wasn't her house so she decided to sleep on that couch. I feel that her picture should be posted everywhere, so that hopefully someone can help find her.

It's a sad fact that cases involving young, pretty women do get their fair share of news coverage. A case can be made that they tend to get "over" coverage in comparison to what would happen if a person who doesn't fit that description should disappear. I think it's just the fact that as a society we tend to see young women her age as "helpless," and in need of constant monitoring. I pray that she is found but we would be misleading ourselves to say that this case and others like it around the country haven't been over saturated into the collective conscious.

I think it's ridiculous. She's nineteen years old and considered by law as an adult. It makes me sick to think there and children missing in this area, but all we seem to care about is that some part girl with a pretty face has gone missing after a party. She made an unfortunate decision and had an unfortunate event happen to her. She was old enough to know that her safety was at risk, and old enough to know better.

Special treatment?? Gosh NO. Everyone needs to know this young girl is missing. Post it around the world. First and foremost to do everything possible to bring her home. Her family needs to keep this alive as long as it takes to do that. Second, as another warning to all these young girls out there. I'm a mother of a wonderful teenager girl. She will be off to college soon. It's scary. I know my daughter will remember situations such as Brianna's and Natalie Holloway's. These were/are good girls. Their lives are special!!!

If it was a 40 year old Joe Schmo the auto mechanic nobody would care. That's the sad truth.
