On this eve of Thanksgiving day, people in our community have new reason to give thanks--the arrest of a suspect in the Brianna Dennison case.

It's the close of a long and painful chapter in our lives.

At this point, James Biela is only a suspect; like the rest of us, he's presumed innocent unless and until he's proven guilty in court. Still, the police are satisfied that they have their man, and that is quite a reassurance to the entire community.

For the first time in 10 months, Brianna Dennison's family and friends now have some relief.

And the rest of us have new reassurance about our community, our personal safety and the safety of our daughters, sisters, wives and girlfriends.

We offer our thanks to the people who have made that possible.

I lived in Reno when this happened and went to the lighted candle gathering. I have no sympathy for this man and if I had my way he would get the death penalty. He did a horrific crime and then went on about his life with a girlfriend and children as if it made no difference in anybodys life. He does not have the right to his life anymore as far as I am concern,or does anyone that violates human life as he did. He is a useless human being. I am so saddened for Brianna and the ones that had to endure the after effects of his cruel, self indulgent actions. Burn him at the stake. I have no tolerance for humans such as himself. He has no rights anymore and should die.

Thank God this guy was caught, and may her family begin to heal, but what about the other victims of crime no one has heard about with unsolved cases. Distraught has a good point.

Thank God for great people in the Reno/Sparks PD and Sheriff's office have arrested a suspect in the murder of Brianna Dennison. I have two daughters about Breanna's age, both home from college and attending parties in Reno at the same time of Brianna's abduction and murder. My daughters are safer now because of the selfless hard work of all the people involved in the arrest of this subhuman. I hope this arrest will ease the minds of the Dennison family. I will keep you in my prayers.

Thank God for Bri's mom to have what ever closure she can get from this. As a mom whos daughter was taken from her as well, I dont think there will ever be closure, but i m glad she can get some of the answers she needs. One thing you need to correct though... This is not a close to a painful chapter in our lives, because some of us who's daughter's have been taken from us, do not have that closure, nor has any one cared enough to assist us in finding out. Your station being one of them. All of our kids matter. Not just one. By no means is this deragatory towards Bri and her family. The nightmare they live and will still live every day is unbearable. May Bri rest in peace finally, and her mom be able to live with some peace as well. Bri's memorial grave is 100 feet from my daughter's so there is not a day I dont ppay my respects to her as I do my own daughter. I just wish ALL of the daughter's killed mattered equally.
