Welcome to my first blog here at KOLO 8.  Blogging is a whole new ballgame for me, so please bear with me and offer up any suggestions if you have them.

I come to Reno from Casper, Wyoming , where I worked as the evening anchor for an NBC affiliate.  I must say, getting used to “big city life” again has been a challenge.  Casper is a place where cowboys rule and hometown pride couldn’t be stronger.  The town taught me a lot about what’s really important in life and in journalism.  I hope that as my career moves forward, those values stay the same.

Now, fast forward to the present… Reno, Nevada .  Life here is different, but good.  I’m starting to adjust to the new way of life, slowly but surely.  Getting up at has been a little tough, but nothing a dedicated journalist can’t handle!  Daybreak has undergone quite a few changes in the months leading up to my arrival and I hope our team can continue to move in a forward direction.  I understand that change can be tough, but it can also be a positive experience.

As the morning anchor and new face of Daybreak, I want to hear from you!  Once again, if you have any suggestions, let me know.  If I mispronounce a name, give the wrong time, or if I’m just having a bad hair day, speak up!  On the same note, I’m new… so if you have any advice about our wonderful state, fun things to do, or things you’d like to see on the show, I want to hear that as well.

I wish you all a wonderful morning,

Anne

OK Anne, Now I know whats missing on KCWY. It's you !! Although the anchors that are presently on KCWY are doing quite well, the Casper Area has lost a fine newscaster and wonderful smile when you left. I know you will do well in the Reno area, but if you get to missing the Cowboy state, " Come On Back "...Ed

congratulations!!!, you are doing a great job, I watch the news every morning, but what I love from you is your smile, and I really like to see your VIVA RENO, of course this shows you are open to different cultures, unfortunatly some people don't want to see outside there square heads and they don't see journalism as it should be, keep up the good job Anne!!

Dear Anne, I have been watching Daybreak since the Sam Shad days. I was starting to get a little restless moving from one station to another. My son used to love Carlosever since he came to his school in Minden one year. Nothing against Danita, however I loved waking up to her and Sam, Carlos, Jeff, Dick, Ect. Welcome to Northern Nevada, Hope you can make a home here for yourself. With hopes of seeing your new face always, John

Good morning. I like your set/up that occurs on your site. You give the public what they want to see, and hear. Keep up the "great work". Tom P.

Many newscasters and reporters who have started their careers in Wyoming have gone on to major markets and even to the national news networks. Anne Cutler is certainly among the best of the best.Anne is a consummate professional who always displays strong journalistic ethics and truly represents the credo of "fair and balanced" reporting.Wyoming's loss is most definitely Nevada's gain.
