I'm not a big person. Anyone who's met me, knows I'm only 5' 1" and I don't weigh much more than a buck. But trust me, I am NOT in shape. Under my work clothes, I'm a pile of skinny flab. I long for those long lost things I so fondly call, "muscle tone" and "strength." So I've decided to finally get back in shape and do something about it!
The goal is simple. I want to run an upcoming race, called the "Rock N River Half Marathon." I used to be a fairly avid runner and regularly participated in community races. It was an amazing way to enjoy the beautiful outdoors, meet new people and stay healthy. As I start to get back in shape, I know it's going to be a long and painful process. In fact, after my first 2 runs, I can barely stand (or sit... or walk... or move)!
I'm hoping to get a little help from you. I'll be keeping up my blog with progress reports and tips from experts, along with my trials and tribulations. I'm hoping you will share your progress too.
