Oh, Oh, Oh, It’s Magic!

New adventures can be scary and exciting.  They can also be a great way to learn a little about something new… and even more… about you.

I was recently confronted with the opportunity for a new adventure.  It all started when J. Biggs, out trusty morning traffic guru, gave me a call.  J. said one of the deejays on Magic 95.5 was going out of town, and the program director was interested in having me fill in.  “What!?” was the obvious response.

After the initially shock, and series of questions about why on earth they’d want a news anchor to help on an afternoon radio show, I decided to play along.  The illusive Nick Elliot finally called me himself and made the offer.  Apparently it didn’t take much convincing, because the next day I was training, and just a couple days after that I was on the air!

So, just over a week later, I’m starting to get into the swing of things and having an absolute blast.  Who knew radio was so much fun??  It’s a chance to let down my hair and be myself.  And guess what?  I’ve learned a little about radio… and a little about me… along the way.

I finally have a chance to say what I think of you Anne! I cannot believe some of the rude comments on here, but whatever. I enjoy your enthusiasm, your laughter, your wit, and your serious reporting when it needs to be serious. I watch KOLO exclusively, so I've seen the many anchor changes throughout the years. I sure hope you are here to stay, you and Dennis make me laugh on the morning newscast everyday, and I love the lighter side you bring to television, it doesn't seem so hard core scripted all the time, gotta love spontaneity! I'm sorry I don't get to hear your radio show, but kudos and cheers for taking that offer, I bet it's a blast! Good work girl :)

I thoroughly enjoyed hearing you on Magic 95.5. I also look forward to beginning my mornings with you and Dennis. Your banter is amusing & refreshing. You display humor, spontanaeity, and solid, straightforward news reporting, comparable to any 'seasoned' or 'mature' anchor. Thanks again for your lively perspective !
