Update: It looks like a jury will be seated Tuesday night in the case of State of Nevada versus James Biela.

Both defense and prosecution representing the accused murderer and rapist have rested their cases. At 4:30 Tuesday afternoon, both sides will eliminate eight potential jurors each.

Once they've finished, there will be twelve jurors left over, plus at least two alternates.

RENO, NV - Jury selection in the murder trial for James Biela has slowed down considerably since Monday. So far, half of the jurors in the first pool have been eliminated. The pool started with 75 people, five of whom either didn't show up, or were eliminated before they even walked into the door.

37 of those were eliminated for a variety of reasons, including work issues, personal obligations, or because they felt too close to the case or knew one of the witnesses.

13 of those were eliminated because of their strong moral beliefs against the death penalty.

One of those was eliminated because he said he has strong moral beliefs for the death penalty.

That leaves 34 potential jurors, and one alternate.
