PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks have purchased the contract of Aces right fielder Collin Cowgill.

Cowgill was a Triple-A All-Star this season in Reno, batting a team-high .354 with 13 home runs and 70 RBI. His 140 hits are the second most in the Pacific Coast League. He also had 24 doubles and eight triples this season.

It's the first time he's ever been called up to the major leagues.
