D-Backs Cut Former Wolf Pack, Aces Catcher Schmidt
Former Nevada catcher Kondrad Schmidt was among the first round of cuts made by the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday.

Former Nevada catcher Kondrad Schmidt was among the first round of cuts made by the Arizona Diamondbacks on Monday.
Schmidt will now be re-assigned to the team's Minor League camp.
The catcher was 2-for-4 with a double in five games this season.
He joined the Reno Aces late last year and hit .438 with four runs batted in during a five game stint.
The Diamondbacks also cut former Aces starting pitcher Cesar Valdez .
Valdez started 18 games for the Aces. He went 7-6 with a 4.78 earned run average in 96 innings last season.
