Man Tries to Kidnap Woman Getting Out of Car

Sparks Police are looking for a man who tried to kidnap an 18-year-old woman while she was getting out of her car in a parking lot.
Police say around 11 am Friday, the woman was just stepping out of her car where it was parked near a Payless Shoes store on Oddie Blvd. when a man grabbed her from behind.
The woman was able to struggle free of the man, and he ran off.
The woman described the man as Hispanic with a light complexion. He’s about 25-30 years old and about 5'6" to 5'8" tall. The man was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
The woman mentioned to police that she had seen a white colored cargo van in the area. Police say a similar van has been described in another attempted kidnapping where a man to convince a young girl to get inside his van. Police still don’t know if the cases are related.
