Suspect Sought in Robberies
The same suspect may be responsible for a sting of recent robberies in Reno, police said. RPD said the suspect may have robbed the Kalifornia Jean Bar on California Avenue Wednesday night, and may be responsible for as many as four robberies.
"Just the fact that we're very close we're on the corner of California and Arlington we're right around the corner so it's very concerning to know something like that is happening around the neighborhood," Mary Cabales, a server at the Chocolate Bar, said.
At the Chocolate Bar there's concern for a business down the street possibly the latest location a serial robber has struck.
"We always keep a man in the business feel safe I'm not sure there's any kind of training but I'm pretty sure the reaction is everybody's safe," Cabales said.
Police looked for the suspect after the latest robbery. Despite saturating the area with officers, the suspect managed to get away. The suspect may be the same brazen man who robbed as many as three other business.
He's white, in his early 40s with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket over a black sweater.
Several rewards are being offered in connection with the crime spree.
Police said a knife was seen during one of the robberies, but no one has been hurt in the incidents.
