Free Dental Day

RENO, NV - Sala Family Dentistry is just what it says it is: Two sons took over their father's 30-year plus practice.
For the past seven years now they've provided dental care to their regular patients, but Jason and Todd say this summer they decided to do more.
“It’s actually one dentist out of a suburb of Tampa, Florida who started it called Dentistryfromtheheart.org. And he came up with the idea and basically its a non profit organization that allows this is happen. And its one of his big passions and so he started doing this and telling others about it. And we heard about it in early summer,” says Jason Sala of Sala Family Dentistry.
The Salas have helped us tell many dental related stories in the past--from Oral Cancer to a new way of making impressions of teeth for a quicker repair. While they are more than willing to share important information, the two believe they can do more for the community.
Which is why billboards are up all over town announcing their plans for a free dental clinic Friday the 20th.
“Get your choice of a filling, extraction, or cleaning and we are going to take care of one problem area and see as many people as we can see,” says Jason.
Jason says the office has been getting calls about the clinic, including one from a Los Angeles truck driver who said he'd be in town Friday to take part in the clinic. Jason says he's not sure how many people will take part in tomorrow's free clinic, but it will go from 8:00am to noon then 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Because this is all so new for them, no one knows how many people will show up, or what problems they'll bring.
Patients will be seen on a first come first serve basis, Sala Family Dentistry is located at 4875 Summit Ridge Drive.
