Martin Luther King is remembered each year in a number of observances across the country. One of the most unusual is a motorcade in Reno.
Inversions will stay strong through Wednesday morning. This will limit valley warming and patchy freezing fog (pogonip) is possible overnight and into the morning hours. A series of three, fast-moving storm systems will move through the region from Wednesday afternoon through early Monday. These systems will bring valley wind and rain changing to snow, and periods of Sierra snow. Several new feet of mountain snow are expected, with winter driving conditions and controls expected. Valley snow is also possible Thursday morning, Friday morning, and again on Sunday. Following these systems, another period of quiet weather will settle in for most of next week. -Jeff
About half of the volunteers for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada were unable to get to the distribution center this month because of the recent storms and dangerous road conditions.
