Breezy conditions, showers, and much cooler temperatures are in the forecast for the next few days, as an unseasonably cool trough of low pressure digs into the region. Snow levels will dip to Lake Tahoe level by early Thursday. Watch for light accumulation on the Sierra passes overnight through Thursday. As conditions dry on Friday and for the weekend, some chilly temperatures are in the morning forecast. Gardeners need to be prepared to cover what you can, as morning lows for valley locations will dip into the 30s. Warmer, sunny weather is in the forecast for next week. Fall officially arrives on Friday at 1:02 PM PDT. -Jeff
